'Good heavens, my great grandfather was a ....!', but if your dad is not your dad, or your mum is not your mum, then the whole history is not true. With the advent of DNA tests, people are finding this to be so. For some interesting examples, listen to the 'The Gift' on BBC Sounds.

Hopefully, before the end of the month, Scooploop will be updated to improve speed and have some bugs fixed. There will also be some alterations to the website.

This is a tax that’s completely unfair. As members may be aware, I’m in the process of moving (downsizing) house. The young couple who have bought my house STC are first time buyers which means the won’t have to pay any stamp duty. I, on the other hand will have a hefty stamp duty to pay following signing of contracts in my new house. I think, anyone that is downsizing, and leaving a bigger house for young families should at least have to pay a ‘reduced rate’ stamp duty. I’m sure I’m not alone in my thinking am I?

A married couple were fast asleep in Hampton court when the phone suddenly rang at 3 AM. The wife groggily picked up, listened for a moment, then snapped, “How should I know? We’re 200 miles from the ocean!” before slamming the phone down.
Her husband, now awake, mumbled, “Who was that?”
Still half-asleep, the wife grumbled, “No idea. Some idiot asking if the coast was clear.” -
I’m in the process of moving to Ashingdon. Anyone live nearby? My wife has joined the local Facebook group.

Does anyone know how often you need a shingles vaccination.
My husband has shingles but had a vaccination a few years ago, anyone know the frequency needed for the jab?

Late at night, you’re about to settle in.
You know you locked the front door when you came in.
But something compels you to get up and jiggle the knob one more time—just to be sure.
I’ve been in that situation, too.
I’ll catch myself walking back to the door, even though I remember hearing the click.
This small moment of caution can say a lot about who we are and how we move through life.
There’s nothing wrong with double-checking.

@Moderator You must have friends in high places!; I thought it was impossible to start a new loop. Suggest you let members know about the loop in the Workshop and IT loops.
