I'm definitely in agreement with this....
I saw this on Facebook and thought I’d share.
DEAR ASDA, MORRISONS, SAINSBURYS, TESCO AND ALL OTHER STORES THAT HAVE SELF CHECKOUT!
You are heading towards almost exclusively self-checkout now.
Yesterday I was at Asda, the lady checking receipts at the exit was stopping everyone.
I didn't choose to participate in that nonsense, I had already filled my trolly, emptied my trolly and scanned the items, refilled my trolly and so I just skipped the exit line and left.
I heard her saying "umm - Excuse me “ as I kept walking and raised the receipt above my head, leaving the store.
You can either trust me to do self-checkout, or you can put your cashiers back in place like it used to be.
• I'm not interested in proving that I did your job for you.
• If you want me to be a cashier with no training then that's your problem not mine.
• Keep employing young people and give them job opportunities.
YOU DON'T PAY ME TO SCAN MY OWN SHOPPING.
YOU DON’T GIVE ME STAFF DISCOUNT FOR WORKING FOR YOU.
Signed ......All of us
Copied and pasted, because I agree 100%. -

Action Fraud has warned that scammers are infiltrating WhatsApp groups.
This 'account takeover' scam starts with the scammer gaining access to an account on your contacts list. They then pose as the contact in messages to you.
Around the same time, you'll receive a six-digit authentication code from WhatsApp. The scammer will claim they sent you their code by accident and ask you to share it with them.
Once the criminal has your code, they can log into your WhatsApp account and lock you out.
Action Fraud has received 268 reports of this scam since January and says fraudsters are targeting religious and community groups.
Make sure you set up two-step verification on WhatsApp your account and never share a verification code. -

Shown up, pranked and stopped by a group of people who want to keep the traffic moving, allowing people to get to work, schools, funerals, hospitals.
Turns out, undercover, sees them being sponsored and even partying after their hard work of disrupting others lives .

The social media platform formerly known as Twitter
I noticed this while following a link from another post and it was mentioned on The News at the same time.
Elon Musk has replaced the Twitter logo with an X and it appears the platform will also be known as "X". He is obsessed with X and has used it to name companies (X.com, Space X and now xAI), a vehicle (Tesla Model X) and even a child (X Æ A-12 which was changed to X Æ A-Xii to comply with California's naming laws).
Larry the blue bird was one of the most recognised logos in the world.
Musk seems determined to wipe out the company he overpaid for. -

More and more blade runners on FB against ULEZ (Edited)
There are countless groups on FB now supporting the work of the "blade runners" in taking down ULEZ cameras. There was even a crowd funding to help support someone creating a map of cameras, their type and what ones are down . Many people daily putting reports in of new cameras going up so they can be taken down.
Reading the comments on fb reminds me of the old Poll tax protests. We live in a very interesting point in time -

I was in the Sutton branch of Morrisons today and they have massive posters on display advertising the women's world cup.
The slogan underneath said "Budweiser the official beer of England".
WTF!
English breweries produce some incredibly good beers so how on earth can a third rate American beverage (I'd hesitate to call it beer - More like near frozen cat's p***) be chosen as the official beer of England.
My respect for the FA has just nosedived.
I guess money talks. -

Have you ever washed your bed pillows? I decided to and have been fighting with both of them to get them back into shape!!!!! They are Silent night ones and the instructions said "40 degrees wash and tumble dry on a cool setting to plump them up. All of which I did and after over half an hour I am exhausted! the blessed things still have lumps all over, I wouldn't let my dog sleep on them (if I had one). Has anyone else tried washing yours because even when they are wet your can't get the fluffy nice pillow back to it's original shape.

advice in applying for a Blue Badge
I am attempting to apply for a Blue Badge from Essex, as my husband is now not able to walk very far, and I am the driver, now.
However, for the forms that I want to download and use (and even to use online), I am expected to register and subscribe with pdffiller for an upfront fee - in dollars - for a 30 day trial (I then can cancel). This can't be correct - the dollar thing is a clue!!!
I have tried several ways in, but this comes up every time for Essex.
I have emailed the Blue Badge department but the automatic reply indicates that there may not be a reply for some time! There is no telephone number I can use; the office is in Colchester, and not Chelmsford, so I can hardly call in!!
Any thoughts? -
