I saw this man and his family on tv recently trying to stand up against the bullying Israeli neighbours trying to take his land. With the BBC there I hoped and prayed he would be able to stand his ground and no one would be injured. Unfortunately that was not the case -

Has said that if re-elected he will encourage Russia to attack NATO members who don’t pay enough. Maybe everyone here already knew that, but I didn’t until just now - I knew he’d made remarks about not coming to their aid, but of course he’s mad enough to say different things every day. Let’s hope the UK does, in his opinion, eh? https://www.theguardian.com/books/2024/mar/12/mussolini-trump-hitler-john-kelly-jim-sciutto-book

More than 2% of all births in the U.S.A. occur as a result of assisted reproductive technology, mostly through IVF, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
IVF treatment typically involves the creation of multiple embryos in order to maximize the chance of a successful pregnancy, leaving some unused and eventually destroyed as medical waste.
But Friday's Alabama Court ruling held that such embryos are children and people can be held liable for their destruction.

Maybe I was the only Slooper watching Biden's address at 3am?
It was well worth watching.
Any doubts about Biden's health and mental acuity can be put aside.
The sullen silence of the Republicans and their subsequent responses would indicate they recognise the current "opinion polls" in favour of Trump might even be "rigged" - Heaven forbid! -

A ventriloquist is holidaying in the outback.
He sees a drover on his horse, with his dog, herding some sheep, and thinks he'll have some fun.
He stops, and the drover rides over to his car.
Ventriloquist. "Hi, how're you? Can I talk to your dog?"
Drover. [ hesitating, thinking the sun has got to the guy ] Okay...sure.
Vent. "How's it going mate"
Dog. "Beaut Mate. Lots of exercise, and good food. Bonza".
Vent. " Mind if I talk to your horse?"
Drover [ Amazed ] For sure.
Vent. "Hey, horse, what's the life like here?".
Horse "Real good. Regular trail work, best oats, brushed down every night and sleep in a clean stable."
The drover is completely amazed, he can't believe it.
Ventriloquist asks if he can chat to the sheep?
Drover stutters "They're all liars!" -
Yesterday, remote wouldn't start the TV, changed the batteries in the remote and still nothing so then tried feeling around the frame for a switch and it happened. Fine all evening, switched off via remote and then this morning, won't start again. Tried the switch several times but just not happening this time. Even looked on Youtube today which said the same thing. Unfortunately I am unable to lay TV on its back as it's mounted on a metal frame on wheels.
Do you think the on-board switch has broken and is it worth getting repaired and why won't the remote work? Any suggestions gratefully received - thanks. -
