Top Tory MP defects to Labour in fury at NHS crisis
Tory MP and former health minister, Dr Dan Poulter, defected to Labour, criticizing the Conservatives for becoming a "nationalist party of the right" and abandoning compassion and NHS prioritization.
Poulter, who works as a part-time mental health doctor, announced his resignation as a Tory MP and will join Labour until the next election.
He will not seek re-election to the House of Commons but plans to advise Labour on mental health policies while focusing on his NHS work.

"My philosophy is:
What people say about me is none of my business.
I am who I am and do what I do.
I expect nothing and accept everything.
And that makes life easier.--
We live in a world where funerals are more important than the deceased, marriage is more important than love, looks are more important than the soul.
We live in a packaging culture that despises content."
Sir Anthony Hopkins -
Not my usual place to shop but as I was over there it was convenient. There was a bit of a pong by the entrance door which got worse the further we went into the shop until it was unbearable to the point that I gave up shopping before I was sick. It was a really horrible smell of raw sewage and another customer said it had been like it for ages.
I searched on line and couldn't find anything about that store but it was quite surprising to find they've already had the same problem at Morrisons in Bolsover and Plymouth. -
Sacked for the smallest of reasons.
Surely in both cases a verbal warning would have sufficed.
Case number one. A sainsbury's worker doing their own shopping forgets to pay 30p for a bag.

Some changes to 20mph rules in Wales
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-wales-politics-68838440.amp
Having recently visited Wales we found that the roads that were 20mph were only in villages, busy high streets and near schools and hospitals. It certainly didn’t stop us from getting anywhere or impinge our movement -

Four women contract HIV at New Mexico salon after 'Vampire Facials' treatment.
Four middle-aged women in New Mexico were infected with HIV after receiving 'vampire facials' at a spa.
The spa, VIP Beauty Salon and Spa in Albuquerque, was closed in 2018 due to unwrapped needles and unlabeled syringes found during an investigation.
Vampire facials' involve extracting blood from the body and injecting it into the face to stimulate new skin cells.
This is the first known case of HIV transmission through cosmetic injection.
A fifth patient, a man who slept with one of the women but never went to the spa, was also infected.
