Astronauts stranded on ISS until August
Two astronauts, Sunita Williams and Butch Wilmore, are currently stuck on the International Space Station due to technical issues with their Boeing Starliner capsule.
Their return flight has been repeatedly delayed due to safety concerns.
NASA engineers are working to ensure the safety of the Starliner before allowing the astronauts to return.
The crew rotation on the ISS is scheduled for mid-August, serving as a deadline for the plans.
While the astronauts express confidence in the spacecraft's ability to bring them home safely, NASA's commercial crew chief acknowledges challenges with thruster tests.
Alternative transportation options, such as SpaceX's Crew Dragon or a Russian Soyuz capsule, are available if necessary.

My dad lives a few hundred metres outside the ULEZ zone.
He needs to know where the boundary of the zone is so that he can avoid accidentally driving into it - He's 91 and can't afford to pay fines for accidentally entering the zone.
He has a Samsung tablet but doesn't know how to access online maps of the ULEZ zone. I've tried showing him but he doesn't really get it.
He'd like an old fashioned printed map which shows the boundaries of the ULEZ zone but I can't find one in any of the book shops or online.
Do any of you know where I can get such a map?
if all else fails I can buy a map of London and draw a line to mark the edge of the ULEZ zone but that would be quite time consuming.
Water Water Everywhere - Will cost More...
Water bills in England and Wales are set to rise by an average £94 over the next five years, the water regulator Ofwat has said.
The figure varies by region with Thames customers seeing an increase of £99 or 23%, Anglian £66 or 13% and Southern Water £183, an increase of 44%.
The typical £19 a year increase is intended to fund investment for improvements such as replacing leaking pipes and reducing sewage discharges into rivers and seas.
It comes as suppliers have come under increasing scrutiny over their environmental and financial performance over a number of years.
On Thursday, Labour will outline a crackdown on the industry, promising consumers higher compensation for sewage failures and the power to hold water executives to account.

Why there are empty homes (Edited)
There are far too many empty homes in the UK although councils were given the rights to deal with the issue long ago.
Most do not seem to have done much, even the ones that have employed staff, or opened departments and are entitled to compulsory purchase properties and having use of a service to trace ownership.
Will this be another thing that the government will be expected to deal with. Personally I feel it’s seems a little bit like these diversity staff, a waste of money if they are not achieving a benefit to the councils and more importantly to those waiting for accommodation.

Do you know of a council that can boast of how well they have done?
Has your council got one of these departments or officers?

For the first time I was unable to vote as mentioned, I feel guilty but also knew that in my very Conservative area, the only possibility would have been a Liberal Democrat voted in and they were by a huge majority. I admit the liberal candidate was the person I might have voted for as I have spoken to her and she came across well.
This morning I received a text asking me to sign a petition for P.R.
I do feel in that way my vote would count and I could vote Green or Labour in my constituency which would mean more with P.R. As I am a floating voter it feels fairer. According to my texting friend, the only countries in Europe to use First Past the Post are the U.K and Belarus.
Any sensible reasons as to whether I should sign the petition or not ?
According to this site, there are over 261,000 empty in Britain. It would be good to see those renovated and used, they could be sold at an actually "affordable" price to recoup some of the costs.

The Nursing and Midwifery Counci who are the regulator for safe nursing and responsible for disciplinary hearings has been accused of having a toxic culture. Also that cases take for too long to be resolved either way.
Two examples given by Former DPP Nazir Afzal on BBC Breakfast were...
A rape case that took 7 years before the male nurse was found guilty and sacked.
A case where a male nurse was caught viewing child porn images on his smartphone. Category one images which are the worst kind. The NMC decided there was no case to answer as it was his private life, not work related. He is still working in a hospital somewhere.

It's amazing the rubbish I get addicted to watching on YouTube. The latest is a channel called Outdoor Boys. It's this guy, sometimes with his 3 sons, who does camping and survival camping programmes. The thought of taking a 3 Yr old survival camping makes me want to drink a huge brandy, especially in minus 30 weather!! For some reason it is highly addictive and also makes me believe that if I had a fold up shovel and saw I, too, could build a survival shelter 😁
Is this even a thing?
This all stems from an article in a magazine about one of the couples in the Netflix series, Bridgerton. I don't watch Bridgerton but he is the tall dark handsome slime one, she is short and fat. The journalist is making a big issue of should people be in mixed weight relationships.
I'd love to know how much differential she would allow between two peoples weights for her not to have an issue.
