Animal rights activists stop fun races
Back in 2017-2019 there was a campaign trying to stop sheep racing that has gone on at countryside fairs for years. The campaign failed .
This year it’s started up again with those that were going to arrange the racing being bullied, harassed and threatened.
I have seen these and pig, geese and duck racing several times, the animals are not beaten or forced, and I’ve never seen any terrified. Has any other member seen these races. What do you think - realistically

Do we really have to make allowances for EVERY minority group?
The Wales rugby team have been banned from wearing their traditional red shirts because a group of colour-blind people have complained.
Today Wales, tomorrow Manchester United, Liverpool, Arsenal.
It's getting ridiculous how minority groups get their way so much.

Wannabee President's Valentine - Donald Loves Melania but REALLY loves DON ations more... (Edited)
“Even after every single INDICTMENT, ARREST, and WITCH HUNT, you never left my side,” gushes the GOP presidential front-runner. “I wouldn’t be the man I am today without your guidance, kindness, and warmth,” Trump continues, with sudden emphasis, “You will always mean the world to me, Melania!”
He signs his love note, “From your husband with love, Donald J. Trump.”
Love is in the air.

The reason why the King's cancer not being revealed
I was watching Laura Kuenssberg programme this morning and this woman on the panel gave this reason why King Charles or Buckingham Palace are not revealing what type of cancer he has. She said,
"it's because the King wants to be inclusive. He wants people with all cancers to be thought of as equals. If it's revealed which cancer he has, people with the same cancer may feel superior to those with other cancers as they have the Royal cancer. And those with all other cancers may feel forgotten"
I thought what a load of tosh.

A charter to keep children in the classroom (Edited)
There seems to be a lot of hatred for the Mayor of London or should I say the leader of the assembly. Much of this seems politically or even racially motivated and very biased because he is only the mouthpiece or employee of those that meet to discuss, put forward and plan for the future. Everyone on here focuses on ulez but doesn’t mention or even appreciate he is nearer to achieving net zero than anywhere else in the country. Similar with youth. He is attacked for not bringing crime down but not appreciated for giving all children free lunches. Now he is launching a charter to keep children that may go on to commit crimes in their schools, instead of excluding them. As there is evidence to say that those involved in crimes, particularly violent crime are almost always those that were excluded or did not attend school regularly. He is realistic and appreciates that some children will still be excluded especially in regard to the safety of others but it is hoped that increasing inclusivity and involvement may finally start the change that needs to be made to encourage young people’s futures to be positive instead of negative.

Have just been reading about people whose number plates have been cloned receiving fines etc. they haven't incurred.
What I don't understand is how criminals manage to clone number plates when the DVLA has records - which shouldn't allow this to happen, surely. Is it too difficult to put a block on people duplicating number plates?

Annihilation (Edited)
WW3 is a durational impossibility, the timescale would only be in minutes or at the most hours.
It would be total geographic annihilation over most of the Northern Hemisphere,
caused by the interchange of huge nuclear weapons by Russia and the USA.
The map image shows the enormous area of damage caused by the impact of just a single Russian 25 Megaton Tsar Bomb if dropped on London.
An area within a 30 mile radius of the impact point would be annihilated and within a 10 mile radius would be vaporised in milliseconds.
Life in the current and future nuclear age is suspended on a tightrope of annihilation.
Earlier in the week Guinness World records turned down this large model of the Eiffel Tower made of headless matches, which to me seemed really strange, as a friend of mine routinely purchased and used this type of ‘match’ for model making over the years.
I am glad Guinness finally saw sense but it looks like this was only because the story made headlines.

Thank you!
Had a blow out with a radiator heater under a year old and electrician fixed the problem saying it is quite common now.
Next day I discovered that adjacent fixed double plug in wall is not working. My son-in-law had a look and established that there is power but when putting cover on nothing works. The items are now connected to other plugs in flat and all work. He says it is the first time he came across this problem. Any idea or help appreciated.
PS: I am astounded how much electricians now charge per hour.
