You were not afraid, and we are not afraid! (Edited)
Chanting and clapping as the body of Alexei Navalny arrived for his funeral. The crowd outside the church where the service is taking place have continued sending their message whilst the police are so far taking no overt action.
The crowd have also chanted "No to war", "we will never forget" and "murderers", any of which could result in action bring taken against the chanters. Of course it is illegal to use the word "war" in Russia when referring to Ukraine.
It's making me wonder if Putin is now regretting his murderous actions, as the world's press is watching and reporting on the scenes in Moscow. Undoubtedly many of the crowd will suffer for what they are now doing, but there will still be other Russians across their nation who could now feel empowered to get an underswell moving against Putin.

Asians are being tricked into fighting for Russia.
I know the BBC headline says Indians, but this was also on Al Jazeera this morning. Their reporter said most of the men being recruited as Russian army helpers are from Sri Lanka or Nepal. The thought they were helping inside Russia but are now being pushed into the front line.

Mary Poppins - Hottentot News.
"Nearly 60 years after its release, “Mary Poppins” has been reclassified by the British Board of Film Classification (BBFC) because it features “discriminatory language,” the BBC reported.
The film, which stars Julie Andrews in the titular role, has been raised from a U rating (synonymous to a G rating) to a PG rating. The change is due to the film’s usage of “Hottentot,” a derogatory term for the Khoikhoi — the traditionally nomadic pastoralist indigenous population of South Africa — originally used by Dutch settlers. The term is said twice by Admiral Boom, who first mentions it while conversing with one of the Banks children, and then uses it as a descriptor for the chimney sweeps with soot-covered faces.
“We understand from our racism and discrimination research…that a key concern for…parents is the potential to expose children to discriminatory language or behavior which they may find distressing or repeat without realizing the potential offense,” a BBFC spokesperson told the Daily Mail. “Content with immediate and clear condemnation is more likely to receive a lower rating.”
The rating change only affects the cinema version of the film. The home entertainment versions are still rated U, according to the BBFC."

Just had an interesting email regarding the term Global Majoritythat they adopted last year. It is to replace ethnicity terms .Quote
"We use global majority in place of other terms you may have heard of, are currently using, or have previously used. This includes terms such as BAME (Black, Asian, and Minority Ethnic), BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Colour), and ethnic minorities".
Looking online, I see lots of places taking it up , with one replacing BAME with GEM for Global Ethnic Majority.
I honestly cannot keep up with correct terminology -

What do you think of the new Overground line names? (Edited)
Sadiq Khan wasted £6m asking a PR firm to come up with new names for different parts of the Overground. They are
Windrush line
Suffragette line
Mildmay line
Weaver line.
Liberty line
Lioness line
I think Windrush is quite good, Suffragette would be better as Pankhurst line, the next two I don't get. What is their relevance to London? Last two are relevant.
When will we see leaves on the Windrush line?
Who will be the first woman dumped on the Suffragette line?
Some topical alternative names on social media are.
County line
Gender Affirming Care line
Free Palestine line
Shamima line. -

Covid claims another young person
Very sad, a 30 year old lady we know has died. She has covid in 2020, was on a ventilator, came off it but had bleeding on the brain and 2 heart attacks and was on the transplant list for a kidney as covid messed hers up. Can't stop thinking about her little boy. Life is sad sometimes

Watching fanni Willis in court
If you haven't caught any of it, she is the district attorney taking on Donald Trumps election rigging case.
Ms Willis is being questioned about her relationship with a special prosecutor whom she hired for the case, amongst accusations that she overpaid him and proffited from his salary because he took her on holidays and cruises.
She stated she paid her half, but in cash so no record. No record of her withdrawing cash to pay him as it was " from cash lying around her house". Very entertaining.
On a serious note though, if kicked off the Trump case it will be hugely delayed ,probably until after the election, or dropped altogether -
