Was this incident racist? you decide
Today I was 3rd in the checkout queue in Tesco. First in the queue were two ladies. All their shopping had been scanned, a full trolley, except one item that was missing a barcode. The checkout person was Suleyman, an Asian man. First he stood up and waved to try to attract attention but was ignored. Then he pressed his intercom to call the woman who walks around the store with a headset mic on. We heard her answer, but when Suleyman tried to tell her the issue, she cut him off. He tried to call her again but she was ignoring. So he went back to trying to attract attention waving his arms.
After another few minutes being ignored he made the decision to leave his position and find a replacement item with a barcode himself. The woman ahead of me said to the two women with a full trolley of scanned items, " you could just walk out now without paying". We agreed that he shouldn't have left his position but what choice did he have.
So, was he a victim of racism by the fact that he was being ignored. -

The three-year old suffered regular and violent punishment, some of which his mother claims was because she was following the teachings of her bible.

Has this ever happened to anyone?
When the timer on your gas boiler or thermostat randomly changes the heating on and off times.
All last week my heating has come on just after 4.30pm as it should. The radiators get hot to start with. Then a few hours later when I go into the kitchen I see the boiler has turned off. So I have to put it back on.
This morning I checked the times on the display. Firstly that the clock was correct. Then the programmed on and off times.
The evening one should be On 4.30pm Off 10.30pm.
It had randomly changed, because their is no need to touch the control panel, to
On 4.35pm Off 5.30pm.
I've reprogrammed it, so will see what happens tonight. -

Just got my new bill and saw that the GLA charge has gone up, yet again, by 8.99%. Checking back I found the following facts:-
In the period 2011/12-2014/5 my Council Tax remained static while the GLA Charge reduced by 4.78%.
During the period 2015/6-2024/5, under the stewardship of Sadik Khan, the Council Tax has increased by 25.1%, while the GLA Charge has risen by 59.8%, so which you can add the ULEZ costs. So who is screwing Londoners?.

Today is the final day in Putin's "election" which he will win - as he has "won" consistently for the past 30 years.
At noon there will be a surge of voting. This has been publicised so that voters can see just how many of them want him out.
They cannot be arrested - they might be voting for Putin - but they can look around them and see their strength in numbers.
It's a wonderful world when your vote counts... -
Music loop (Edited)
If you enjoy music the loop is welcoming new members.
https://www.scooploop.com/loops/musicians-singers-songwriters-classic-albums?refgroup=QWl
Started by Stevie T for musicians it has changed over time to a group where members can celebrate, announce or listen to old or new music. No musical skill or expertise required just respect, good manners and listening ears.
Reminisce to Elvis or congratulate Raye on her recent awards.

Whilst we discuss minor issues, Putin is rampant on sabre rattling. The crisis is much higher now than the Cuban crisis, with an absolute nutter in control of Russia's massive nuclear stockpile.
What this despot forgets is that the US and NATO have an equally large stockpile and within minutes of a strike, Russia would fail to exist. -
