The Ukranian war started in February 2022, its been going on for 3 years.
The Russians have lost around 900,000 killed and the Ukranians around 80,000.
Russian dead in 3 years of war is twice as high as the British and American dead in 5 years of WW2, 383,600 British and 416,800 American.
3 years Russian dead in Ukraine = more than British + American dead in WW2.
The Russians put no value on human life. -

Malta you **** sing that at Eurovision
This is Malta's Eurovision song that the BBC have said has an offensive sounding word, meaning they can't broadcast the song if it's not changed.
The word is the maltese word for sing.
When I first heard about this I thought the whole song would be in the Maltese language with the offensive sounding word somewhere in the lyrics. And the BBC should get over themselves. But the song is entirely in English with just that one word in Maltese, so it really stands out, particularly the way she sings it.
I think the BBC are right to ask for it to be changed.

Should they be allowed to operate inside shops?
For the last few weeks charity chuggers have been allowed to operate and hassle people just inside the entrance of my local Sainsburys.
Last week it was Great Ormond Street that had a stand about 3 metres from the kiosk. This week it is Breast Cancer Now who are standing just where people come out of self serve to make their way out of the shop.
I think charity chuggers should only operate in the street or shopping mall. -

My Mother used to manage a PDSA Charity Shop and one of the gifts was a full box of Silver King Golf Balls. At the time I was switching from cricket to golf so she gave them to me. I opened one of the inner sleeves and tried to uplay with-it but the moment that I hit it , it disintegrated into dust.
That was fifty years ago. A few days ago I came across the box with three sleeves and two loose balls, all in the original box, so out of curiosity I checked on E Bay and to my amazement found that it is worth between £150 and £200 as a collectors item.
I will not be parting with it however as it is the only thing that I have left in memory of my Mother. -

When my great nephew was visiting yesterday, he's aged 5, he was showing me videos on his ipad of The Trench Family. Their tagline is "they are the littest family on youtube".
Littest is a superlative adjective meaning most stylish or having most awesomeness.
They spend their days videoing their everyday lives but then sensationalising them.
For example in one video, one of their kids runs up to mum and dad and says his sister is missing. So they start "fake panicking" and talking about calling 911. Turned out the gir was hiding under her duvet. But they made sure her bedroom was the last place they searched.
Anyway I googled them and they have a net worth of over $50m. -
