What has the Government announced?
While the Government has not yet responded to the petition you signed, it has announced plans to ban XL Bully type dogs, and set out the rules that will apply to these dogs.
Under the new rules, which will come into force on 31 December 2023, it will be illegal to breed, sell, advertise, exchange, gift, rehome, abandon or allow XL Bully dogs to stray in England and Wales. From this date, these dogs must be kept on a lead and muzzled in public. From 1 February 2024 it will then become illegal to own an XL Bully dog if it is not registered on the Index of Exempted Dogs. -

Condensation (Edited)
Is there anything I can do about condensation drips from a skylight, it drips down the front of the cooker and on the floor, all I am doing is putting towels down each night.
I do put the extractor fan on as soon as i get up but can't leave that on all night. -
Just had a phone call from a friend asking which low calorie, refreshing drink I could recommend as she is fed-up with water. Limited storage in fridge. I only drink water/tea and maybe half a bitter shandy sometimes.

A friend who has recently returned from a coach holiday to Lake Garda with her husband fell at home and husband couldn't get her up on his own (she suffered a stroke the day after her first Covid vaccination and hasn't had one since), ambulance came to help her get up, then nurses came to give her tests and verdict is she has Covid. Apparently some on the coach also had coughs and colds which might be par for the course in confined spaces and could be just a cold. Bossy Boots here has told her she should ring the coach company so see if any others have caught it as it could be where she picked it up and also the driver who collected and delivered them from home as it was a door-to-door service to the coach. She goes out rarely so it seems the most obvious place.

What the King’s Speech left out
What was left out?
No new bill to ban the import of hunting trophies, after a Tory MP's bill to do so was timed out in the last parliamentary session
A bill to introduce a ban on so-called conversion therapy to change someone's sexual orientation or gender identity - promised since 2018
A bill authorising the construction of the HS2 rail line between Crewe and Manchester dropped
A draft bill to overhaul the treatment of people with learning disabilities and autism, mentioned in last year's Queen's Speech -
Does anyone know if the roadworks/improvements to Junction 1 M20/Junction 3 M25 have finished? Last time I drove that way on the A20 there was a long queue in the J1 slip road.

It is a start but maybe brings hope to some people not to have to travel to Switzerland. Copied from email I received.
Today, the Isle of Man’s Assisted Dying Bill passed its Second Reading with an historic vote of 17 to 7. MHKs have heard the overwhelming call for change from the Manx people and voted yes to dignity.
This means the Isle of Man is on the path to becoming the first part of the British Isles to legalise assisted dying. It joins countries like Australia, New Zealand and the US by acknowledging that dying people deserve choice at the end of life. This is a huge victory.
The Bill will now progress through further stages of scrutiny, consultation and debate. Assisted dying could be available as a choice for terminally ill islanders in 2025.
It wouldn’t have been possible without the incredible work of supporters in the Isle of Man. Whether it was writing to members of their parliament, telling their stories to local media, or attending the demonstration this morning, everyone has worked so hard. A huge thank you to you all for everything you’ve done to support the campaign.
