What a Waste? (Edited)
Reminded in another thread of Ian Dury and the Blockheads, this is a timeless example of how talented they were (and still are, as the Blockheads have continued touring since Dury's death in 2000). Lovely guitar work, both lead and bass; real drumming, soaring sax and great keyboard, all blending into a mellifluous, multi-layered backdrop for Dury's expertly crafted lyrics -- and you can hear every, single, word.
Can't get tired of this.

I do this one in my set at open-mic, but my own arrangement of it! -
I love a song with interesting/clever lyrics and here's one of my favourites. It's an old song, much recorded, but perhaps not that well known. This is a more recent version by Janis Siegel (from The Manhattan Transfer).

I heard this on the Bob Harris show and had to share it

You'll almost certainly think it's a load of rubbish, but I put a song, I wrote myself, up on youtube recently, and here it is:

And by the way, I did the first recording playing 6 string guitar and singing the vocal, and then dubbed the base over it, so it's all me" -
I try to keep up with modern day singers but know I must miss a lot of them.

I had never heard of Ivory Layne or her music but this is being played regularly on the radio.

Interesting video -
That has to be one of the most iconic images to ever appear on an album cover.
Good choice! -
I heard a song on tik tok and looked for it on YouTube

It seemed familiar. Sort of old fashioned -

Covering the Uncoverable... (Edited)
Simon & Garfunkel's classic "The Sound of Silence" is one of those songs that you cannot imagine anyone covering, at least, not in a way that's a patch on the original.
This stunning cover, however, is sufficiently different to be able to stand alongside the original masterpiece, but more than good enough to establish a reputation of its own.
(Don't be put off by the thumbnail! The singer, David Draiman, has an incredible voice.)
