Walk to School Day was created in order to raise awareness of the importance of improved, safer and more accessible streets, less traffic, and reduced air pollution in communities across the USA. Today was rubbish and recycling collection day. At 5pm it was obvious the general waste collection had been missed. Went on to the Bromley webpage to report a missed collection. Under my address was the message that the general waste was not collected because I had not presented it in time, or it was not close enough to the edge of my property.
The button to report a missed collection deliberately greyed out. Only option was to send feedback.
I todl them all my rubbish and recycling is put out the night before. The paper recycling box and food waste box are at the property edge, and put the general rubbish close as I can next to them. Told them I'm leaving the rubbish in the front garden for them to collect in their own time.
Really tempted to deliberately leave the bags of rubbish actually just on the public pavement. Maybe they will see them then.

University researchers have found out that red meat and processed meat is no danger to health. People shouldn't give up red meat purely for health reasons.

International Coffee Day Many countries celebrate International Coffee Day on September 29, but the official date of the holiday is in fact October 1. It was instituted by the International Coffee Organization in 2014 and has been celebrated every year since.

The International Coffee Organization (ICO) was established in 1963 in London under the auspices of the UN. It administers the International Coffee Agreement between coffee producing countries and consuming countries aimed to keep coffee prices stable.

At a meeting that took place in March 2014, the ICO decided to launch International Coffee Day in order to emphasize the great economic importance of coffee, to raise awareness of the hardships that coffee growers face, and to promote fair trade coffee because of its contribution to sustainable development.

The inaugural International Coffee Day celebration was held in Milan as part of Expo 2015. The holiday has been celebrated every year since its inception. On the occasion of Coffee Day, businesses in ICO member countries offer discounts on coffee and special deals for their loyal customers or social media followers.
