The ‘Merton Memory Bank’ project will provide a range of activities and support for local residents living with dementia. This will include the creation of a dementia friendly space at Merton Heritage Centre. Volunteers will assist with the planning, research and delivery of reminiscence and craft sessions. They will also create themed memory boxes, enabling people living with dementia to share their memories, learn and interact with others.
We are looking for volunteers who can assist us for a minimum of 3 hours per week until March 2020. Full training will be provided and volunteers will develop skills in research, the creation of educational resources and the delivery of heritage workshops.
If you are interested in volunteering on this exciting and worthwhile project, please contact Dorian Knight, Project Officer.
