Everyone using Amazon this week issued with alert and 5 new rules to follow
It's Black Friday week, and that means shopping scams will be on the rise.
To help survive the next few days of shopping, Amazon has released 5 rules that are very wise to follow.
• Always use the Amazon mobile app or website for all your shopping needs, including customer service, account changes, delivery tracking, and refund status.
• Remember, Amazon will never ask you to make payments or to provide payment information (including gift cards or wire transfers) for products or services over the phone.
• Consider setting up 2-step verification when available to your online accounts to help prevent unauthorised account access. You can set up 2-step verification at amazon.co.uk/2SV.
• Save time and stay secure using a passkey. It’s a safer way to sign in than using passwords and it works with the same face, fingerprint, or PIN you already use to unlock your device. Set up a passkey at amazon.co.uk/passkey.
• Scammers might try to create a sense of urgency to persuade you to do what they're asking. Be careful any time someone tries to convince you that you must act now.

Walk down Uxbridge High Street and on the surface, it appears like any other. But scratch beneath and you'll find a town struggling at the centre of the UK's migrant crisis.
It's a situation that has caused an unbearable financial burden to be shouldered by the local authority, which is now splashing out more than £10million a year on paying for asylum seeker accommodation. For a town already struggling with squeezed services, many residents told the Express the issue is tearing the community apart.
Susan Weston, 66, said there was a "growing concern that all these young men
coming over are actually, homeless, paperless
She warned the situation is "causing this country an awful lot of problems" and said Sir Keir Starmer, What is he doing as Prime Minister, has he got any idea? I don't think he has.
Sir Keir Starmer was being "pushed by the Muslim population", alleging it was "obvious, otherwise why would all these fighting men, muslims, be coming over to this country? Well, they're votes for Labour."
Colin Easthope, 73, who has lived in the area for 28 years. "Instead we are giving away money overseas, and not looking after our own in this country. Labour are a 'no-no' from me.
"It's a struggle to hear English on the high street. It takes a week to get an appointment. It's changed in the three years I've lived here,"
One of the flashpoints that epitomised local division occurred early this year when a local man chased a group of youngsters into a shopping center after they "ran into him" and "pushed him" before shouting "English B*stard". -

Labour support continues to fall as Reform steals triple by-election victory.
Labour's dwindling support across the country has been laid bare once again after the party lost ground in each of the seven council by-elections on Thursday, while Nigel Farage's Reform UK headed in the opposite direction.
By-elections were held in Cheshire East, Dumfries and Galloway, East Sussex, Redcar and Cleveland and Stratford-on-Avon.
The by-election was called following the resignation of Ashley Farrall days before he was jailed for attempting to pervert the course of justice.

Miliband's dash for Net Zero lands millions of families with yet another energy bills hike
Millions of families are to be hit with another rise in energy bills this winter because of Ed Miliband's dash for Net Zero.
Energy regulator Ofgem said government 'policy costs' were a key driver in the latest rise, which takes the price cap to £1,758 a year. Bills will rise even though wholesale energy prices have fallen by four per cent.
The cap is £190 higher than when Labour came to power last year, despite Mr Miliband's pre-election pledge to cut bills by £300.
The situation is so embarrassing for the Government that Rachel Reeves is now considering action in next week's Budget to remove the cost of things like connecting wind farms to the grid from energy bills and pay for them through general taxation.
But critics tonight called on Keir Starmer to 'rein in' Mr Miliband and bring a halt to the remorseless rise in UK energy costs, among the highest in the developed world.

The BBC has just given Donald Trump more fuel. Apologies roll off the production line.
The BBC has turned the insincere apology into an industrial process.
Its latest offering arrived when presenter, Rajini Vaidyanathan, disrespectfully referred several times to Her Royal Highness The Princess of Wales as “Catherine Middleton” — her maiden name — while the written statement demoted her further to “Catherine, Princess of Wales”, a style reserved for divorcees.
After nearly fifteen years of marriage and a public life defined by selfless duty, this was no oversight. It was a calculated slight from a broadcaster that has never bothered to hide its disdain for the monarchy as a traditional pillar of British society.

Racism in the Animal Kingdom:
Is an innate important defence, protect and survival part of nature.
A thread of cases of racism between regional variants of the same species of animal. It seems that racism is as, if not more, rife in the animal kingdom than it is between human beings. Is racism really such an innate part of nature?

Shamima Begum 'should be allowed UK return' after six year controversy, review says.
I don't think she or the others should be allowed back, what do you think?

A shocking inquiry into Britain's counter-terrorism policy has determined that ISIS bride Shamima Begum should be allowed to return to the UK.
The British woman is presently residing in a Syrian detention facility, having left home to join Islamic State in 2015.
This conclusion emerged following a three-year investigation conducted by the Independent Commission on UK Counterterrorism.
The committee stated that Begum,26, and other British nationals held in Syria should be brought back to the UK.

'Most deadly' strain of virus sweeps Britain - everything we know
Patients with the virus often report a higher fever, but in some cases, it can be deadly.
Have you had your Flu jab this season?
Doctor explains how to prepare for the flu season
Data from Australia indicates that the H3N2 flu strain has caused the country's worst influenza season on record, a trend that health experts warn could be mirrored in Britain as winter approaches. In Japan, the same strain has led to widespread school closures as infections reach epidemic levels, with thousands of people requiring hospital treatment.
Health officials in Britain have already warned that flu has arrived around a month earlier than usual, raising concerns that too few eligible people are taking up the offer of a free NHS flu vaccine. The latest figures reveal that two in five care home residents are still unvaccinated, prompting renewed calls for vulnerable groups to come forward for their jabs. The Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (RCPCH) has warned H3N2 "can kill" and has called on parents to give their children the flu vaccine nasal spray.

Victoria Beckham changes her name as she 'embraces' the title after husband Sir David's knighthood
The former footballer, 50, was honoured by King Charles at Windsor Castle on Tuesday, receiving a knighthood for his outstanding contribution to sport and charity.
And while her husband celebrated becoming Sir David Beckham, Victoria also gained a new form of address.
In keeping with royal tradition, the fashion mogul and former Spice Girl is now entitled to call herself Lady Beckham - a courtesy title given to the wife of a man knighted as 'Sir.'
Sir David beckham and Lady Victoria Beckham, that will take some getting used to. -
What is racism?
Racism is the belief that groups of humans possess different behavioural traits corresponding to inherited attributes and can be divided based on the superiority of one race or ethnicity over another. It may also mean prejudice, discrimination, or antagonism directed against other people because they are of a different ethnic background. Modern variants of racism are often based in social perceptions of biological differences between peoples. -
Hello. I'm Uncle Albert. I am Peter Andrew's parrot. I know what the law says, but I don't agree with it. All boat people are illegal immigrants and criminals, even though no one knows if they have a criminal record. As I have said before, they should be sunk while they are crossing the channel. I do not care that there may be women and children on board
