An Imam who admitted to the 'forced marriage' of two underage children has avoided jail...and instead been given a suspended prison sentence.

Ashraf Osmani, 52, said he was 'unaware' of a change to the law when he conducted a 'Nikah ceremony' for two 16-year-olds at Northampton's Central Mosque.

Imam named Ashraf Osmani was spared from jail for conducting a forced marriage of two underage children. Osmani, who was 52 years old, admitted to the marriage and claimed he was unaware of a change in the law when he performed the Nikah ceremony for the two 16-year-olds at Northampton's Central Mosque. The court described his approach as 'negligent' and sentenced him to 15 weeks in custody, which is suspended for a year. Osmani was found to be entirely in charge of the marriage process at the mosque, and the judge emphasized that ignorance of the law is no defense.

How is starmer's one in one out policy going.

A migrant has turned up in the UK once again despite deportation. Edwin Taha appeared at South Tyneside Magistrates' Court on Tuesday, January 20, accused of knowingly entering the UK in breach of a deportation order.

The 25-year-old, of no fixed abode and who previously lived in Teesside, was remanded in custody.

He will next appear at Newcastle Crown Court on February 18.

According to Teesside Live, Taha faces one count of knowingly entering the UK in breach of a deportation order.

A Northumbria Police spokesperson said: "On Sunday (January 18) we arrested a man in the Gateshead area on suspicion of immigration offences."

No need to work the state will keep you.

Experts have told Rachel Reeves that the future looks "bleak" after figures suggested the number of people claiming "no need to work benefits" from the DWP has risen by 1.5million since Labour came to power. Data revealed that 4.2million people are on Universal Credit with "no work requirements" after an increase in claims from individuals citing their mental health. Elliot Keck, campaigns director of the TaxPayers' Alliance, told The Express: "The future of Britain is bleak if politicians don't urgently get a grip on the tragedy that is Britain's escalating welfare bill.

"Millions are left out of work languishing on benefits, many of them with only minor, treatable conditions. Some of course are simply abusing the system, and squeezing taxpayers to fund their life of leisure.

Hold tight it could get a lot worse.

The far-left Corbynite ready to turn the biggest union against Starmer.
Andrea Egan was elected as the general secretary of Unison in December

She formally takes office today (Thursday, Jan 22), having vowed to hold Labour’s “feet to the fire” over public sector pay

Keir Starmer, now faces a member of the far-Left taking control of Labour’s largest affiliated union. Not only is Unison a major donor, giving nearly £1.5m to Labour’s 2024 election campaign, its members are also the foot soldiers of the country’s public services, working as bus drivers, porters, cleaners, care workers and town hall admin staff. If Egan delivers on her pledge to flex her members’ “formidable” muscles, Britain could grind to a halt.

While recent years have already seen a return to 1970s-style industrial unrest, Egan says that her predecessor McAnea was nothing like hardline enough in sticking up for the working class. She will, she says, “stand up to any employer, politician or cabinet minister who acts against our interests”.

Unison is one of 11 unions affiliated to Labour, representing four million workers in all. Egan wants to review Unison’s relationship with the party, for example opposing funding for Labour MPs who fail to stand against welfare cuts. In an article written for the Guardian after her election, she put employers “on notice” that Unison would not be a pushover, singling out the Department of Health and Social Care, where Health Secretary Wes Streeting plans job cuts, and Reform-run local councils. Any Reform-run town hall can perhaps expect trouble if they shut down gender-neutral toilets or stop the flying of the Palestinian flag. On the Gaza question, Egan also wants to create a pensions divestment task force to stop town hall pension schemes investing in firms that supply arms to Israel.

      Another blow to our economy

Rachel Reeves has hit hiring in Britain and is driving jobs overseas, the boss of Currys is warning as unemployment in London spirals.

Alex Baldock, chief executive of the technology giant, told how the Chancellor had undermined the retail sector, with hospitality in the capital also left reeling from tax rises and higher wage bills.

He also warned of further pressure on jobs from the Employment Rights Act.

“If you make it harder, riskier and more expensive to employ people then fewer people will be employed,” he told Times Radio.

He stressed that the “overburdened” retail sector, which employs six million people, had been impacted by £7 billion of costs from Ms Reeves’ first Budget, which saw hikes in National Insurance contributions for employers, as well as increases in the National Living Wage.

“Those costs have got nowhere to go but lower pay, lower hiring, lower promotions, higher prices, lower investment and ultimately less growth,” Mr Baldock explained.

“It has depressed hiring right the way across the retail sector.”

Official figures show London is shedding jobs faster than any other region after the blows to the retail and hospitality sectors.

The hiring slump means the jobless tally in London has almost doubled in less than two years since it hit a trough of 3.8% in the three months to January 2024.

Risking our country's security because of Labour's economic mishandlings.

Britain's intelligence chiefs were denied the chance to raise concerns about China's plans to establish a giant embassy across the road from the Tower or London, opponents of the massive development claim. Sir James Cleverly, a former Foreign Secretary and Home Secretary, accused Labour of having "silenced" security experts and said Sir Keir Starmer was "kowtowing to China" in the hope of winning investment.

Sir James, who is now Shadow Communities Secretary, hit out at the Government, saying: "Labour are forcing through the plan for a Chinese super-embassy in the heart of London despite obvious national security concerns. Ministers refused to allow our security services to submit evidence in a private hearing, and now won't say why.

Turning his guns on the prime minister, he said: "Keir Starmer lacks the backbone to stand up to Beijing. He is kowtowing to China in the vain hope he will be rewarded with some investment in the failing economy he presides over."

      Prime Minister U turn.

      Labour’s £8.2bn of U-turns ‘has damaged growth’

Labour has carried out £8.2bn worth of about-turns since coming to power, the Resolution Foundation has found, damaging Sir Keir Starmer’s growth ambitions.

The Left-leaning think tank has warned that policy uncertainty has spiralled under the current Government, with the total cost of its climbdowns hitting the highest level in 12 years

Backbench MPs who said the policy reversals are making them look “really stupid”.

In total, Sir Keir has overseen 11 U-turns since Labour’s victory in 2024, despite pledging before the election to “stop the chaos” and restore political stability.

The Resolution Foundation has warned that this frequent flip-flopping, alongside speculation of tax rises, risks undermining Labour’s promise to boost economic growth.

Policy uncertainty is bad for growth because it scares off business investment and makes it harder for households to plan, hampering their ability to spend.

This instability also helps to drive up the UK’s borrowing costs as investors demand more for holding government debt.

Named and shamed: The worst councils for pothole repairs and Labour are bottom of the pile.

A map launched by the Government to name and shame local authorities which are failing to fix potholes has revealed that Labour-run councils are the worst offenders.

The new traffic light rating system grades town halls on road conditions as well as how effectively they are spending maintenance funding.

Embarrassingly, it ranks Labour-run Greenwich Council – home to the Prime Minister’s closest parliamentary aide Abena Oppong-Asare and local government minister Matthew Pennycook – as one of the worst for pothole repairs.

Other Labour councils such as Waltham Forest, Bolton and Cumberland are also in the most serious ‘red’ for repairs category – while Tory-controlled Essex and

Hillingdon as well as Reform-run Worcestershire are all given a top green rating by ministers.
Labour councils, and this latest own goal is a further setback for what is regarded as the most unpopular government in history.

      The Reincarnation of Peter Andrews
      -----------------------------------------------------------
On Scooploop’s threads, where avatars spar,
A username flared like a fallen star:
      Peter Andrews, sharp of tongue,
      Typing old hatreds, loudly flung.

He prowled the posts with a sneering grin,
Turning every “us” to “them” to “sin,”
      Mistaking noise for being brave,
Digging deep what he thought he’d save.

But moderators read, and users sighed,
As patterns formed he couldn’t hide.
      The ban came down—swift, complete,
      A quiet click, a locked-out seat.

For a while the forum breathed again,
      New voices rose, thoughtful, plain.
Yet shadows linger where echoes go,
And soon a newcomer chimed “hello.”

      Different name, a fresher face,
Same old venom, same old pace.
The syntax bent the selfsame way,
      The grudges dusted, on display.

“Strange,” they thought, “how masks can slip,
      How habits trail the fingertips.”
And once again the lines aligned—
A recycled voice, the same small mind.

So Scooploop learned, as forums do:
You can change a name, but not a view.
Until the heart relearns its role,
No alias saves a shrinking soul.

Labour hasn't a clue. Driving the country to its knees.

Rachel Reeves and Keir Starmer hit with horror figures and told 'stop it!'

Rachel Reeves and Sir Keir Starmer face dire new figures as businesses reel from extra costs as a result of its "punitive" policies. A survey by the London Chamber of Commerce and Industry found that just a quarter (25%) of 504 London businesses that responded expect the capital's economy to improve in 2026. Meanwhile, more than half of business owners (53%) expect to have to raise prices to meet rising business costs.

In addition, only a quarter (25%) of London's businesses engaged in recruitment activity in Q4, down from over a third (34%) in Q2, and the share of London businesses reporting increased plant and equipment investment fell sharply to 18%, down from 25% in Q3.

Karim Fatehi OBE, Chief Executive Officer of the chamber slammed the Government's approach, saying: "Record low business confidence under this government is bad news for the Prime Minister, bad news for the economy, and bad news for the country.

Labour's 'disgraceful attack on democracy' denies 4 million people vote

Four million people are set to be denied the vote in May's local elections in what the Tories and Reform UK have slammed as a "disgraceful attack on democracy" by Labour.

Net zero 'could put lives at risk' as new study warns of widespread power failure.

Britain risks stumbling into a dangerous electricity crisis that could hit hospitals, transport networks, communications and food supplies - not just household bills - a stark new report warns.

Britain's power system may fail within years if current net zero plans continue unchecked.

The analysis - Electrification: can the grid cope? - warns prolonged power shortages or blackouts could disrupt healthcare, rail and road transport, mobile networks and supermarket supply chains, particularly during winter demand peaks, if electrification is pushed faster than the grid can safely manage.

The study says that Britain’s push to electrify heating and transport is falling behind reality, with heat pumps and electric cars missing targets and the grid under strain.

At the same time, old gas and nuclear stations are closing faster than replacements arrive, weakening the system’s safety buffer.

The report, to be launched at the Institute of Directors, central London, says that AI data centres will put even more strain on an already stretched power grid.

“Without urgent action to secure dispatchable generation and stabilise the gas network, the UK faces escalating risks of supply shortfalls and widespread system failures

Asylum seekers to be housed in newly built council homes in push to end use of hotels.

Asylum seekers are to be housed in newly built council homes as part of the Government's push to end the use of migrant hotels.

Labour-run Brighton and Hove, Hackney, Peterborough and Thanet, along with Labour-Liberal Democrat-run Powys - have confirmed their interest

The pilot scheme would see £100million in additional funding for the building of new properties or for the refurbishment of old, derelict buildings in order to house asylum seekers.

But the decision is expected to be met with fury by those who feel extra money spent on social housing should be for local residents.

Last year, 1.33million people were on a waiting list for social housing in England - the highest number since 2014.

In London, only about five per cent of those on the waiting list have any chance of being rehoused, according to a City Hall inquiry, and in some boroughs, the average wait for a family home is up to 15 years.

The new scheme would allow councils to buy more properties, such as new housing developments where homes are struggling to sell, for asylum seeker accommodation.

Mosques consulted by UK police ahead of Maccabi TLV ban hosted antisemitic preachers

At least three of the eight Muslim organizations consulted by West Midlands Police ahead of the Maccabi Tel Aviv ban have hosted antisemitic preachers.

It has now been revealed that several of these mosques have hosted antisemitic preachers or have called for violence against Jews, women, or non-Muslims. Jamia Masjid Mosque preacher Zahir Mahmood, for example, said, “Allah, count them all and kill them one by one, and don’t let any one of them get away,” in a sermon shortly after October 7, 2023.

He also called for Allah to “Humiliate the polytheists and destroy your enemies, the enemies of the religion” and “deal with the enemies of Islam [referring to Israel here], divide them, destroy their homes, scatter them around, make them argue with each other, make their weapons not work.”

The government suspended its £2.2 million funds to Green Lane in 2023 after it found one of its preachers, Shaykh Abu Usamah At-Thahab, stating that “homosexuality is not permissible.” The same preacher has made antisemitic claims and even appeared in the 2007 British TV series Undercover Mosque on Channel 4, where he was found to give sermons glorifying Osama bin Laden.

Surely it is time to close these places down!

Going to hell in a handbasket,.

Worst investment levels in the G7 'should ring alarm bells in No 10

Figures showing Britain has the worst investment levels in the G7 should “ring alarm bells” in No 10, critics have said.

The UK was at the bottom of the table behind the US, France, Germany, Italy, Japan and Canada, with public and private investment just 18.6 per cent of GDP in the three months to September, latest figures show.

Business groups warned the situation was also likely to get worse after April, when a series of changes announced in Rachel Reeves’s Budget, including changes to business rates and a rise in the living wage, come into effect.

In response, one Labour MP accused the chancellor of driving down business investment with “broken commitments”.

Keir Starmer urged to dissolve Parliament as thousands sign petition demanding snap election. 👏👏👏 I've signed.

Keir Starmer has been urged to dissolve Parliament after a petition demanding an immediate general election received more than 65,000 signatures.

The petition, which is the third launched calling for a snap poll since Labour came to power in July 2024, is yet to receive a response from the Government.

A festive period surge saw the petition total signatures jump from less than 10,000 to 50,000 between Christmas and New Year’s Day.

The petition will run until June 10, making it incredibly likely it will surpass the 100,000 signatures needed to be considered for debate in Westminster Hall.

In the petition’s description, creator Robert JF Barners wrote: “On July 4, 2024, Sir Keir Starmer was elected as Prime Minister.

“Since then, his Government has introduced measures that were not included in the Labour Party’s manifesto.

“We believe we were misled and the obfuscation has only got worse since Starmer took power.

“It is time for action. We believe the Government has failed to defend our borders from the small boats.

Voters have been directly affected by policies that were not included in Labour’s manifesto.“Our country cannot go on like this. Dissolve Parliament and call a General Election now!”

The petition received more than three million signatures, with a debate being held in January 2025.

A second debate will take place on January 12 after another immediate general election petition garnered more than one million signatures late last year.

Petitions demanding an early general election have also become more prominent as Labour’s support slumps in the opinion polls.

44 per cent - believe Sir Keir will resign or be removed as Prime Minister by the end of the year.

      This is a genuine question.
Why this statistic? Is it environmental social or biological?

Nearly half of London's murder victims were black, the latest figures show. After a record year of violence on London's streets with 30 teenagers dead, Black Londoners are three times more likely to be violently killed than any other ethnic group.

Met Police figures show there were 131 killing investigations107 of which were non-domestic murders. Of these 50 victims were Black (around 47%) and 40 white (37%). It means Black Londoners are more likely than other ethnicities to be killed in street violence, despite making up only 13pc of the capital's population.

      Trump, the people's champion. 👏👏👏
This is what we need a strong leader. Not the wimp Keir Custard.

Venezuelan president Nicolas Maduro was branded the head of a narco-terrorist state by the US months before his dramatic capture this morning.

Donald Trump announced online that Maduro and his wife Cilia Flores had been detained and flown out of the country following airstrikes on the capital Caracas.

Maduro is widely considered an authoritarian head of state with accusations of electoral fraud in 2024, as well as claims of severe human rights abuses and drug dealing on an industrial scale.

On Thursday, Maduro indicated he wanted to strike a deal with Trump that could have seen him leave power in exchange for immunity from prosecution, keeping his vast wealth and allowing the US access to Venezuela's oil reserves, but no deal was reached.

Maduro's presidency has been characterised by authoritarianism and a severe clampdown on opposition, with a decline in the country's socio-economic status and a rise in crime, poverty and inflation.

An Amnesty International report accused his government of carrying out "some of the worst human rights abuses" in Venezuela's history, with "8,292 extrajudicial executions carried out between 2015 and 2017" mainly in the country's poorer neighbourhoods.

In 2019, the European Union, Canada, Mexico, Panama and Switzerland imposed sanctions on Venezuela and the country's military prevented an attempt to oust Maduro by dissidents in 2020. That same year, Maduro was accused of narcoterrorism and conspiracy to import cocaine to the United States.

      Well done Mr. President.

      Lee Cohen....

As a proud American who cherishes our shared British inheritance, which fuelled the greatness of both our nations, the sight of Sadiq Khan transforming London into a crime-plagued, overtaxed, woke quagmire enrages me from across the Atlantic.

I have watched in horror as Khan, this arrogant Labour apparatchik, presides over the slow-motion destruction of one of the greatest cities the world has ever known.

His policies have plunged London into a toxic mix of persistent crime problems, crippling taxes, and shameless cultural capitulation.
Unchecked mass migration, soft-on-crime ideology, and endless virtue-signalling that masks decay.

Knife crime remains a stubborn disgrace under Khan's watch since he took office in 2016 – higher than pre-Khan levels despite recent fluctuations.

Gangs dominate entire neighbourhoods in parts of the city, phone thefts plague the streets at epidemic rates, and violent robberies have scarred communities. London still tops England and Wales for knife offences by a wide margin.

Even with 2025's declines in homicides – the lowest in years – teenage stabbings and street robberies persist as an unacceptable shame for a world-class capital.

Khan bears full personal responsibility for this ongoing bloodshed. His woke rebranding of violence as a "public health issue," his ineffective policing priorities, and his repeated tolerance of extremist rhetoric have empowered criminals and emboldened thugs.

Trump crushed similar crime waves through decisive action and zero-tolerance policies. Khan enables and excuses them. From across the ocean, Khan looks like Britain's own Joe Biden – only more sanctimonious and infinitely worse at the job.

Khan's reviled ULEZ expansion functions as nothing more than a punitive tax raid on ordinary motorists. It slaps £12.50 daily charges on drivers, hitting the poorest families hardest for questionable environmental gains while Khan himself jets around the globe preaching his green dogma.

Congestion charges have soared to £18 from January 2026, and ruthless enforcers seize vehicles from those who fall behind on payments – raw, unapologetic authoritarian greed dressed up as climate virtue.

      When will this madness end!!!?

David Lammy signs off £240k for Islamist killer over human rights.

David Lammy has signed off on more than £240,000 of taxpayer-funded compensation and legal costs for a double-murderer, it has been revealed. It comes after the High Court ruled the treatment of Fuad Awale in prison breached his human rights.

Awale, who also called for the release of Islamist hate preacher Abu Qatada, is serving a life sentence for shooting two men in the head in a 2011 drugs dispute. Awale later helped take a prison officer hostage, which led to him being moved to a special unit for dangerous prisoners. He was then stopped from having contact with other prisoners, including one of the men who killed Fusilier Lee Rigby in Woolwich in 2013.

Lawyer claimed she worked 28 hours a day to get £70k maximum bonus

Greed greed and more greed Isn't a high Salary enough without stealing from the taxpayer.

A lawyer has been struck off after she falsely claimed she worked 28 hours a day in order to get a bumper bonus of almost £70,000.

Legal aid solicitor Samina Ahmed fiddled her time sheets and routinely recorded that she worked more hours than she had, even saying that for 133 days she had worked more than 24 hours in a day, a tribunal heard. She was warned against her fraudulent scheme at a staff meeting - but continued to claim over her hours.
"Warned" did I read that right?

🚨 THE WITCH HUNT IS OVER — AND NIGEL FARAGE WAS RIGHT ALL ALONG. 🚨
They threw everything at him. Smears. Headlines. Whisper campaigns. A coordinated effort to destroy one man because he dared to challenge the system. And now? It’s collapsed.
The Electoral Commission has officially cleared Nigel Farage of all spending allegations. No wrongdoing. No scandal. Just another politically motivated hit job exposed in daylight.
This wasn’t about justice. It was about fear. Fear of a man they cannot control, cannot silence, and cannot defeat at the ballot box.
While Farage stands vindicated, Westminster carries on betraying the public — wasting taxpayer money, eroding ancient rights, and gaslighting a nation that can see exactly what’s happening. They punish dissent while rewarding failure. They protect themselves while ordinary people pay the price.
But the truth always wins in the end.
      Farage 1 — Establishment 0.
      They tried to bury him.
      They failed.
And now everyone knows why they were so desperate to stop him.

Keir Starmer enemy of the state.

Labour 'will destroy UK special forces and reward Moscow' warn ex-SAS chiefs in damning assessment

Seven former SAS commanders have accused the Government of "doing the enemy's work" by exposing Britain's elite troops to legal action under Labour's new Northern Ireland legislation.

The retired officers have warned that dragging soldiers through the courts risks destroying the country's special forces.

They claim politicians are using troops as "scapegoats" - while handing propaganda victories to hostile states.

"Britain's special forces are small, discreet, uniquely lethal... Their humiliation rewards Moscow, Tehran, and Beijing," the commanders wrote in The Telegraph.

The intervention follows Labour's decision to abandon the Tory Government's Legacy Act, which had granted legal immunity to veterans who served in the Troubles.

Sir Keir Starmer will be ousted as Labour leader, the party’s biggest union donor has predicted in an attack on his “rudderless” premiership.

Sharon Graham, the general secretary of Unite, claimed that the Prime Minister would be removed by restive Labour MPs after a torrid first 18 months in power.

Sir Keir’s time in office has been marred by a number of unpopular policy decisions and subsequent about-turns, weak economic growth and ministerial scandals.

According to The Telegraph’s poll tracker, Labour has fallen to third in the polls, trailing both Reform UK and the Conservatives.

Youth worker loses 54th employment tribunal in 10 years

I'm only here for the money. Just use the racist card.

A serial litigant has been accused of using employment tribunals to “get rich fast” after having his 54th claim rejected.

Joseph Johnson, a youth worker, was criticised by employment judges after bringing a large catalogue of false discrimination claims to “cause disruption” and make a quick profit.

His lawsuits had been so relentless that a judge sitting on his most recent case described his tactics as “litigation by attrition”.

Revealed: All the freebies London mayor Sadiq Khan received in 2025

The actual value is likely to be significantly higher as officials said the monetary value of tickets to the Chelsea Flower Show President’s Lunch, the Mission Impossible Premiere and a Brentford FC game against the Mayor’s beloved Liverpool were “unknown”.

The figure is also slightly higher than the £24,714 worth of gifts and hospitality accepted in 2024.

About time many more countries are realising they must take drastic action to these freeloading criminals...
Migrant panic as over 150,000 undocumented refugees detained in major clampdown

Turkey has stepped up its crackdown on undocumented refugees, as public hostility towards migrants grows. Data published by the Turkish Ministry of Interior show that as of December 18, a total of 152,331 irregular migrants were detained nationwide in 2025.

And this coming from a Muslim country.
