Think of this absolutely crass statement today by Tory MP Danny Kruger. He thinks you shouldn’t have autonomy over your own body!! Where do they find these morons.

Here are a few snippets from the concert we went to Saturday night at Wembley. What a brilliant live performer. Maisie Peters was the support act and Sam Smith appeared for a while with Ed Sheeran. Overall, a fantastic night.

Me and my partner are going to see Ed Sheeran this Saturday. The problem? There’s a national rail strike on that day. My partner says he can drive but I’m of the opinion there won’t be anywhere to park as thousands will have the same idea.

I voted remain in the Brexit vote and I accepted the result as most people I know did too. What I can’t accept is the downright lies and more lies that have since come to light.
We now have the problem with the NI Protocol. Only a problem for the DUP actually. I’m sick and tired of commentators saying the EU are holding the UK to ransom. Johnson signed the agreement along with the EU which then placed the protocol into international law. Remember, he signed the deal!
When questioned, Johnson has stated, “yes, I signed the deal, but I didn’t think the EU would fully implement the protocol”. What a statesman…….not.
Read this piece and be sure to watch the videos therein.

From Queen’s A & E with what started out as an insect bite. It got progressively worse and the pain in my leg became unbearable with me unable to bear any weight on it. It turns out I have a condition called cellulitis and have been prescribed antibiotics. I’d never heard of the condition. Has anyone had it?

There’s been a meeting about the new proposed development on the Seedbed Centre. This is a quote from someone who attended. When I read this, I thought, can this be real?
“So the new development on the seedbed centre......meeting was tonight......900 dwellings 30 parking spaces. Architects said the residents won't need cars they will all be young business people working in London using cross rail”
I guess they won't want to drive into the countryside or the coast to relax after all that commuting. -

The world has just 10 weeks' worth of wheat stockpiled after Vladimir Putin's invasion of Ukraine disrupted supplies from the "breadbasket of Europe".
The UN has been warned that global wheat inventories have fallen to their lowest level since 2008 as food supplies are rocked by a “one-in-a-generation occurrence”.
Official government estimates put world wheat inventories at 33pc of annual consumption, but stocks may have slumped to as low as 20pc, according to agricultural data firm Gro Intelligence. It estimates that there are only 10 weeks of global wheat supply left in stockpiles.
Russia and Ukraine account for around a quarter of the world’s wheat exports and the West fears Mr Putin is trying to weaponise food supplies. Russia is on track for a strong wheat harvest this year, cementing Mr Putin’s control over the staple grain as bad weather spoils production in Europe and the US.
Gro Intelligence chief executive Sara Menker warned global food supplies are being hit by a number of “extraordinary” challenges, including fertiliser shortages, climate disruptions and record low inventories of cooking oils and grains.
She told the UN’s Security Council: “Without substantial immediate and aggressive coordinated global actions, we stand the risk of an extraordinary amount of both human suffering and economic damage.
“This isn’t cyclical, this is seismic. It’s a once-in-a-generation occurrence that can dramatically reshape the geopolitical era.” -
Spent an extremely enjoyable afternoon with my Ukrainian guest Ruta and her two children swimming today. What a joy to see the children happy although they’re missing their father terribly.

MPs will vote on whether they agree a parliamentary investigation should go ahead into Johnson’s misleading of Parliament. Johnson has tried to sway his MPs voting intentions by ordering said MPs to vote it down, the same as he tried to order his MPs to vote down an inquiry into the Owen Paterson debacle. It stinks.
Yesterday Johnson claimed that the scandal over the parties in Downing Street “DID NOT WORRY VOTERS” Speaking en route to India, the prime minister said he wanted to focus on “the things that matter and make a real difference to the electorate” rather than issues about his own conduct after he was fined for breaking the law. He said he could not imagine a circumstance in which he would resign even if he were fined over ALL SIX EVENTS HE ATTENDED. Asked if he was saying that the parties did not matter, he said: “You’re better off talking about things other than politicians themselves.”
Note the “all six events he attended” part. Says it all doesn’t it. We have a liar of a Prime Minister. -
The British Constitution is taking an utter beating. There’s no other way to put it. No matter what your political affiliations are, politics in this country are in the gutter.
Johnson now has the challenge of his life to prove that he did not wilfully and knowingly mislead MPs - because if he did deliberately mislead MPs then he has no choice but to resign under the code of conduct for ministers, which he signed off and approved in keeping with normal practice on becoming PM.
This is perhaps the most important test of the robustness and efficacy of the checks and balances in the British constitution ever.
If Tory MPs unthinkingly keep him in office without a proper and public assessment of how Parliament was misled, because that is what suits them, and if they blithely ignore the ministerial code, then the charge will stick that this or any party with a big majority is simply an elected DICTATORSHIP and the constitution means little or nothing.
This is not just a slippery slope. It is the bottom of the slope. -

Did anyone watch this tonight on Channel4 8pm? It was an eye opener. I recommend people watch it on catch up if they haven’t seen it. It delved into the extortionate price increases in Gas & electric fuel prices. OFGEM are the biggest culprits. They opened the floodgates to company’s with absolutely no former experience in the field. One company even ran their business from a community centre!! Most of the smaller companies went bust with debts in the £millions. OFGEM then passed the customers of those failed companies onto mainly the big 6 who then had to “buy” extra power to supply the extra customers in their thousands. That cost has been then forced on to us, the consumer. Watch the programme!!

Are there many (if any) people in the Romford and surrounding areas applying to take in Ukrainian refugees? We have applied, and can’t believe the hoops we’re asked to jump through to finalise the procedure. If, like us, you’re having the same problems, don’t hesitate contacting us. Perhaps we can, as a group, speed things along. ❤️
