Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses following a commercial burglary in Iver Heath.

Between 11pm on Sunday 20 September and 4am on Monday 21 September, a white Mitsubishi L200 vehicle was stolen from Seven Hills Road and a Hyundai Shovel vehicle was stolen from Southlands Road.

At around 4am on Monday 21 September, these vehicles were used to steal the ATM machine outside the Co-op on Thornbridge Road.

The vehicles and ATM machine have since been recovered.

Investigating officer Designated Investigator Navjot Toor, based at Amersham police station, said: “I am appealing for anyone who has any information about these incidents or who may have seen these vehicles travelling around in the early hours of Monday 21 September to get in touch.

“You can contact us using our online form or by calling 101, quoting reference number ‪43200296010‬. Alternatively, you can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously via their website or on ‪0800 555 111‬.”

Kay Hannam, Head of Forensic Services and Will Davies, County Forensic Manager are going to be taking your questions and talking about their jobs and the roles of their team in a Facebook live event at 7pm on Thursday 1 October.

From crime scene attendance to evidence analysis through to crime scene reconstructions, the forensic department are more than what you may have seen on TV or in films. There are so many roles and teams, all applying science to policing and supporting crime investigations across the Thames Valley.

Coronavirus Update on New Regulations
On Monday (14/9), new measures will be put in place to help suppress the spread of coronavirus.

These new measures mean that people in England can only meet in groups of no more than six, indoors and outdoors.

Those that choose to congregate in larger groups will be dispersed and could be fined or even arrested.

Thames Valley Police officers will continue to work with our communities and will follow our approach to engage with, explain and encourage people to follow the new regulations.

Assistant Chief Constable Christian Bunt said: “Preventing the spread of coronavirus is a shared effort and we at Thames Valley Police will play our part.

“The new rules coming into place on Monday are very clear and we hope that all members of the public follow them.

“Our officers will be in the community engaging, explaining and encouraging people to follow the regulations. We will disperse groups of more than six people and will issue fines to those who refuse to comply.

“However, there are a range of enforcement options at our disposal, and this does not always involve fines being issued.

“Members of the public can expect to see officers out on patrol but we ask that everyone takes personal responsibility so police involvement is a last resort.”
