Electrician in the Wimbledon area
Hi. Does anyone know someone who would be willing to do a couple of what we think are small jobs - some garden lights are refusing to work and it may be because friendly foxes have chewed through the cables somewhere, but we can't trace where without some suitable meter type instrument... too small a job for it to be worth someone travelling a long way, but a local expert might be happy to try? Thank you for any recommendations (preferably from personal experience as that usually seems the best introduction).

Inspired by a conversation I had last night, I would like you to share your opinions. Where do you think the best restaurant in London is (lets say inside the M25) and why? My favourite is Quilon Bistro in Westminster. I like the seasonal menu and the food - which is locally sourced - is always amazing. A delectable mix of flavours inspired mainly by England, India and Italy. Please do share your favourite(s)!

A few local friends and I have recently discovered that playing our musical instruments together, rather than on our own at home, has proved not just effective but much more enjoyable.
We play some Irish traditional tunes, along with music from further afield, on a variety of acoustic instruments and take things slowly at first but, with practice, trial and error, we find our confidence growing and then gain great satisfaction in recognising our efforts as being the same tunes that have been played, listened and danced to for generations.
If you have ever wanted to join a traditional session in a pub, but didn't know how, or lacked confidence ( just like me ) this might be the way.
If you think you might like to join us, contact me and I’ll supply more details.

Hi,
I was wondering if there were any parents of teenagers in the WImbledon/Merton Park area who'd like to meet with others and chat over the difficulties they may have. I'm a mum to two teens and am struggling a bit with the typical teen issues. Sometimes I think it would be nice to talk to others in a similar situation, or just to meet some other parents of teens and share thoughts over a coffee (or drink). Please let me know if you'd be interested. Thanks. -

Cadogan Hall, November 3 - be proud of a great Wimbledon institution
Everyone knows the All England tennis club is a great Wimbledon institution but there are others, like the Wimbledon Theatre (108 years old). Less well known is the Wimbledon Choral Society who first performed 104 years ago and has grown to be one of the finest large choirs in England. It has 200 voices, trained and directed by Neil Ferris, the director of the BBC Symphony chorus.
In recent years, Wimbledon Choral has made Cadogan Hall its 'home from home' and on Saturday November 3rd will perform one of the world's greatest choral works, Bach's B minor Mass, accompanied by the renowned baroque orchestra, Florilegium, and some of the UK's best professional soloists. It will be a spectacular concert.
Come to Cadogan Hall on November 3rd and see for yourself why you should be proud of another great Wimbledon institution.

Earlier this year I counted quite a number of different birds around my little garden. Now most of them are gone. Now I see those green parrots flying around in their nasty screechy flocks. I know these green parrots were brought here generations ago and it is not their fault and all that but the same could be said for pigeons and they are persecuted to death even though they are native.
Does anyone know if hawks can be trained to kill green parrots and if they can how can at be arranged.
I favour little robins over green parrots and if that is racist then put me in the stocks but, remember, green parrots eat any bird that is not green so they are the worse racist of all.
Maybe fans of green parrots could gather them up and send them back to the country they come from as they do not have the requisite paperwork to say here.
Thank you for reading my vent!!!! I feel better now. -
