Do you remember all the concern over the safety of the Whooping Cough vaccine. We did not get our first son vaccinated because of it and in 1978 he caught it and then so did I. I can testify that it is an awful disease - waking in the middle of the night and trying to get breathe only to feel as if you were sucking in a balloon that prevented the air reaching your lungs.

1977 for me personally was the last year I reallly paid attention to pop music - children and work demands and the advent of (in my opinion and not intending to offend anyone) the music genre that started the decline and generally devoid of melody and the ability to actually sing - Punk.
