We Too?
Olivia Coleman was, quite rightly, on the news yesterday claiming that female actors are paid less money than men.
The thing is that the gift to deal with it is in the hands of her and all the other female actors.
There are very few films, television shows and stage shows where the cast is entirely male. Having a quick thought I can come up with "Mortimer & Whitehouse: Gone Fishing". Undoubtedly there will be others you can think of, but comparatively few overall.
What surprises me about Olivia's statement is that she hasn't said what she wants to do about it. My suggestion would be to go on strike! If films,TV and stage are reliant on females, then withdraw your labour. The production companies will soon sit up and listen. Perhaps it could be called "We Too" as the aim is to pay the same as males get.
