    Policing Results

As part of County Lines Intensification Week, Kingston Town Centre Team worked alongside neighbouring policing teams, British Transport Police and Children’s Services to conduct a joint operation at Kingston, Norbiton and Hampton Wick railway stations.

The operation involved a passive drugs dog, plain clothes officers and uniformed patrols targeting those travelling through the area suspected of involvement in drug supply.

During the operation officers carried out a number of stops which resulted in six positive finds for drugs and one arrest for possession of an offensive weapon.

The weapon seized was a large zombie-style knife. The suspect attempted to flee but was quickly detained following a short foot chase by officers. He was arrested, charged with the offence and will now face the courts.

Operations like this are part of ongoing work to disrupt county lines activity and keep our communities safe.
