LG TV repair person needed

My 15 month old LG smart tv suddenly has no picture, just a black screen although the sound and remote control work fine.
I've tried the basics, and the warranty was only for 12 months but I'm reluctant to get LG out as they charge a lot!
Can anyone help or share any advice?
I'm too scared to take the back off/ start putting the mother board in the oven etc as most you tube videos advise!
