Boris Johnson claims his government are aiming for a “high-skill, high-wage” economy, but is that really feasible?
I was prompted to write having stumbled across this article from the Australian Times. It's always interesting, and often unnerving, to read how us Brits are seen by foreign eyes. Johnson's ideal, it would seem, will require such fundamental changes in benefits and the way work works that it might just remain a pipe dream.
