Audio Visual Installation Completed at Kilham Village Hall, Driffield
Definition Audio Visual has successfully completed another AV installation project, this time at Kilham Village Hall near Driffield. The project involved the installation of a comprehensive audio and visual system, featuring an Optimal Audio sound system and a high-brightness projection system, ensuring the hall is equipped for a variety of events and activities.

The audio component of the installation centres around Optimal Audio, a brand renowned for its quality and performance. We installed four Optimal Audio Cuboid 8 speakers, strategically mounted on Powerdrive wall mount brackets, secured to the wooden pillars along the main hall. This speaker placement ensures optimal sound distribution, providing clear and consistent audio coverage throughout the space.

For the visual element, we opted for a powerful and versatile solution. An NEC 8000 lumens WUXGA laser projector was installed using a PV Mounts wall arm bracket at the far end of the hall. This projector boasts exceptional brightness and resolution, crucial for large venues. To accommodate the hall’s dimensions, we utilized a long-throw projection lens, projecting onto a Sapphire 3-meter motorised projection screen. Due to the significant distance between the projector and the source equipment, a HD Anywhere HDMI over CAT6 sender and receiver kit was implemented to ensure a stable and high-quality signal transmission.

The heart of the system resides within a wall-mounted equipment cabinet, housing a range of professional-grade audio equipment. This includes a Behringer 12-channel rack-mount mixer for precise audio control, a Crown stereo amplifier for robust power delivery, and a Denon media player with Bluetooth connectivity for versatile audio playback options. Two Sennheiser wireless microphone systems, a lapel and a handheld, provide presenters with freedom and flexibility. Furthermore, an Ampetronic hearing loop amplifier was installed to cater to individuals with hearing impairments, ensuring inclusivity. A Rubix 22 USB mixer was also integrated, alongside the Village Hall’s existing CCTV system, consolidating all audio and video components.

Addressing the growing need for virtual communication, the client requested a cost-effective video conferencing solution. We installed a Huddly IQ camera on a wall bracket, positioned to capture a wide view of the hall. This camera, combined with the audio input from the Rubix USB mixer, allows for seamless and professional online meetings and presentations.

For seamless laptop connectivity, we incorporated a practical angled floor box plate. This houses a fibre optic HDMI cable and an active USB cable, providing a secure and aesthetically pleasing connection to the AVHub, ensuring high-bandwidth data transmission for smooth video conferencing.

AV Installation Completed for Driffield Town Council at Cass Hall
We are pleased to announce the successful completion of an AV installation project for Driffield Town Council at Cass Hall, a versatile space serving as a meeting hall, function room, and events venue.

The project focused on providing a comprehensive audio-visual solution to enhance the hall’s functionality and user experience. Key components of the installation include:

Projection System:

A Sapphire 3-meter motorized projection screen in 16:10 widescreen format was installed, providing a large and clear display area for presentations and multimedia content.
An Epson 6200 lumens WUXGA laser projector was mounted on the existing projector mount bracket and pole, delivering bright and high-resolution visuals.
Connectivity:

Two Lindy active HDMI input plates were installed at the front and side of the hall, offering convenient laptop connection points for presenters.
Video Conferencing:

A Biamp VBC2500 video conferencing unit was installed beneath the projection screen. This unit integrates speakers, a microphone, and a camera, along with a local USB connection plate, facilitating small video conferencing meetings.
Sound System:

A surround sound system was implemented to provide immersive audio. This comprised:
Optimal Audio Cuboid 6 speakers in white for the left, centre, and right channels.
A Sub 10 bass speaker for enhanced low-frequency response.
A pair of Apart Audio Kubo 5 speakers for the rear channels.
Audio Processing and Amplification:

Within the client’s existing equipment cabinet, a rackmount mixer was installed to manage audio sources from the two Sennheiser radio mic systems, a Denon Bluetooth unit, and the audio output from the Epson projector.
Two Crown amplifiers were installed to power the speakers.
A DBX 2-way stereo crossover was incorporated to optimize the audio signal distribution.

Church AV Installation Doncaster - another church install completed at St Mary's Church in Doncaster with the installation of two Samsung 75" commercial TV displays mounted on Btech wall brackets either side along with a HD Anywhere HDBaseT 4 x 4 Matrix switcher installed in the control point and a Lindy active HDMI input plate installed on the Dias area so they can plug in another laptop at the front.

AV Installation Bradford - another install completed this time at St Clements church in Bradford with the installation of an Allen & Heath Wizard 16 channel mixer, Ampetronic Hearing Loop Amplifier, Denon Bluetooth unit, Sennheiser radio mics, amplification and a Samsung 75" Commercial TV display for showing images via a laptop.
We re-used their existing amplifiers and speaker system and integrated them onto the new audio system along with installing a speaker facing into the choir area.

Sound System Installation Newark - we have just completed another sound equipment installation at Newark Car Auctions with the installation of eight Cloud CSS6 speakers in black mounted above the main area and an Apart Audio outdoor speaker mounted outside.
We have installed a Cloud 3 zone mixer which is controlling the main auction area, outside and the 3rd zone feeding the online auction live stream.
Within the wall mounted cabinet we have installed two Sennheiser Headset Radio Mic Systems, Lab Gruppen 100 volt line amplifier and a Crown Stereo Amplifier.

Church Audio Installations Hull - just completed another install at St Wilfred's Church in hull with the install six Optimal Audio Cuboid 6T 100 volt line wall mounted speakers in white, three down either side.
Within the equipment cabinet we have installed a Behringer rack mount microphone mixer along with three Sennheiser Radio mic systems, Lab Gruppen 100 volt line amplifier.
On the lectern and pulpit we have installed an Audio Technica shotgun microphone.

Audio Visual Installation Services York – we have just completed another AV installation at Clifton Explore in York with the install of sound systems throughout various rooms, projector installation in the main hall and various TV display screens in meeting rooms.

In the main hall we have installed four Optimal Audio Cuboid 8 speakers mounted at high level on powerdrive wall brackets along with two Optimal Audio Sub 10 bass speakers, along with two Cloud LM2 input connection plates with local Volume.

For the projector installation in the main hall we have installed an Epson 7000 Lumens WUXGA projector on a PVM short throw bracket projecting onto a Elite Saker Tensioned tab tensioned Electric Projection Screen 135″ diagonal, along with a Lindy HDMI over CAT6 wall mounted plate and a local HDMI input plate so they can present from the front or the back of the room.

In Activity Room one we have installed a Samsung 75” commercial TV display screen along with a Bose VB1 Video Conferencing Sound Bar with mics, speakers and in-built camera. For the sound system installation we have installed four Cloud CSC6 ceiling speakers along with a Cloud LM2 volume control plate and BT1 Bluetooth Plate.

In the comms room upstairs we have installed a Cloud Z8 – 8 zone mixer, two Crown Amplifiers powering the Optimal Audio Sound System, a DBX two way Crossover, two Cloud VA4120 100 volt line amplifiers powering all the Cloud ceiling speakers.

Audio Visual Installation Doncaster – another audio visual installation completed at Rossington Leisure Centre near Doncaster with the install of eight Martin Audio Adorn A55 background music speakers throughout the main gym area upstairs mounted on to the steel girders giving them adequate coverage throughout the area.

For the visual installation we have installed five Samsung 55″ smart TV display screens which are showing freeview channels and we have also installed some aerial points for the running machines off the same aerial distribution system and a 55″ wireless Digital Signage Display Screen showing current company offers and promotions and other types of advertising.

Downstairs in the community room which has a low ceiling we have installed eight Martin Audio C6.8T ceiling speakers and within the small weights room upstairs we have installed a pair of Apart Audio ceiling speakers.

Within the lockable floor standing equipment rack cabinet we have installed a Cloud Z4 zone mixer, four RCF stereo amplifiers and a Citronic stereo amplifier along with the clients media player for the background music, which can be played in any room.

Each zone is controlled via a Cloud RSL6 plate giving them source select and volume and each area has a local ipod input plate so that they can plug in an audio device and play their own music.

Sound System Installation Maltby - we have just completed another installation project for Maltby Academy with the installation of a pair of Optimal Audio Cuboid 10 speakers mounted on Powerdrive wall mount brackets, Within the swan flight case we have installed a Sennheiser EW100 handheld radio mic system and six Sennheiser EW100 headset radio mic systems along with a Crown Stereo Amplifier and Denon Media player.

Sound System Installation - we have just completed another installation at Cononley Village Institute near Keighley with the install of two Optimal Audio Cuboid 8 speakers and three Optimal Audio Cuboid 5 speakers and Optimal Audio Sub 10.
The system is been used for both a PA system and a surround sound system for film nights within the village hall.
Within the equipment cabinet we have installed a Behringer 12 channel mixer, Denon DN300 Media Player, DBX two way crossover and three Crown amplifiers along with the customers existing radio mic system.
For the surround sound system we have installed the customers existing Sony DVD player and installed a new Marantz AV receiver which is powering the Cuboid 5 centre speaker and used the pre amp output to a crown amplifier for the two Cuboid 5 speakers as surround.

Another sound system install sorted at the Spa Hotel in Saltburn with the installation of Optimal Audio Cuboid 5 wall mount speakers in the bar, snug, outside terrace area and Cloud Ceiling speakers in the reception area, restaurant and Toilets. We were contracted to install a new sound system within a new bar called Nanouk on Market Place in Hull which previously was a restaurant that had been closed down for a while and was an ideal venue for the new owners new venture.

All the interior design work and decorations were carried out by the new owners but they needed a new professional sound system that would suit both the venue and their expectations.

We suggested that they should go with a Martin Audio Sound System across both floors so we installed two Martin Audio X8 Speakers along with a Martin Audio X115 bass speaker on the mezzanine floor upstairs and then downstairs in the bar area and cocktail lounge area we have installed another four Martin Audio X8 speakers and another Martin Audio X115 bass bin.

In the store room upstairs we have installed all the sound equipment in a rack cabinet which consists of a Cloud Electronics Mixer, Martin Audio DX5 system controller for the speakers and four Crown Stereo Amplifiers which are powering the speakers.

For the music sources they have a few options as we have installed a Denon Media in the cabinet upstairs which gives them CD, USB, SD Card and Bluetooth, an input plate behind the bar downstairs and then in the DJ stand we have installed a Pioneer DJM mixer.

AV Installation Wakefield – we have just completed another AV Installation at The Art Centre in Wakefield with the installation of two Epson 6500 Lumens laser projectors which are projecting onto the main walls along with four Electrovoice ZX1 speakers installed in both galleries.

The sound system installation consists of two white Electrovoice ZX1 speakers installed in the main gallery and a further two installed in the other gallery next door giving them the ability to use both rooms for doing presentations.

Within the equipment cabinet we have installed a Denon Mixer, two Crown Amplifiers, a Dual Audio Technica Lapel Radio Mic System, Apart Audio Media Player with CD and USB Playback.

Also as part of the Audio Visual Installation we have installed an Ampetronic hearing loop system which consists of a wall mounted hearing loop amplifier and a Audio Technica Shotgun microphone.

There was also a requirement to have zoom meetings within the Gallery so we installed a Vaddio Conference Shot Video Conferencing system which consists of a wall mounted PTZ camera and two overhead microphones which were suspended from the cable tray above.
