Borrow a work of art for FREE This exciting initiative by Sprout Arts allows people to borrow a work of art for six months as part of the Sprout membership subscription (which is £10 a year). The hope is that people who have never had original artwork in their homes, or think they can’t afford it, will go on to become art enthusiasts and encourage their friends and neighbours too. Everyone welcome to view the work and join.

Join artist Tracey Elizabeth Downing for her “Enfolded” workshop, exploring collage, image and text in lovely little concertina sketchbooks. At Sprout Arts on Thursday 21st and 28th April 2022 No previous experience necessary just curiosity. Materials provided but feel free to bring any small objects of significance; a favourite cup, ornament or item of clothing; Photographs; Newspaper clippings or a book (that you don’t mind cutting up). You will take away a lovely A7 sea-white hardback concertina sketchbook with contents created during the workshop, there is no expectation for you to take away a finished article, I use my concertina’s as a way of visually recording what I notice and I can go back to them time and time again to rework them and use them as a springboard for my paintings. Costs £20, materials and drinks provided, spaces are limited so please register your interest by email to sproutcommunityarts@gmail.com To find out more about Tracey, who is exhibiting in Sprout in April, visit www.traceyelizabethdowning.com or follow @traceyelizabethdowning
