A great chance to have a go at popular activities and workshops, as well as an opportunity to join (if you're over 50) or volunteer - for all ages. The Furzedown Project on Moyser Road aims to increase people’s sense of wellbeing and reduce social isolation - for all people aged 50 and over, across Furzedown and Wandsworth. This special Wellness Open Day is open to all the community (of all ages). The Rose & Crown are holding a FREE half-term Halloween Kid's Disco on Thursday 28th Oct 2021 at The Rose & Crown Pub from 2 to 4pm which will help raise money for FACE's local charities There will be a fancy dress competition, DJ Dan will be providing the music and there will be lots of games and treats for all little terrors, plus some frighteningly delicious craft beers and gruesomely gorgeous gins for grown-up monsters!   • Plastic-Free-Furzedown are delighted to launch their Furzedown Recycling Champions Programme on Saturday 18th September from 11am to 1pm, outside Budgens in Moyser Road. You will be able to bring along your hard-to-recycle items listed below, and we will make sure they are recycled properly: Domestic batteries Plastic pens Crisp, sweet and biscuit wrappers Spectacles Medical blister packs Small plastic bits. After the launch our local recycling champions will have drop-off points around the Furzedown area for you to continue to take your recycling. Information will be available at the launch.
