I do not know where it comes from (it won't say) but it hangs out in our garden almost every day. It also abides to social distancing..

A classic German recipe (yes, really) from the 50ies. Toast Hawaii, here a vegetarian version: * Slice of toast, a bit of butter, pineapple, vegetarian "ham", cheese. traditionally you use "American Cheese" slices, but I couldn't find any in the shop. Aloha.

Sharing this here from another scooploop post https://www.scooploop.com/thread/lockdown-diary-day-xyzn-more-lockdown-cooking-lentil-soup-with-vegetarian-sausages

This is based on a very traditional German recipe, though normally rather cooked in the winter. 1) soak lentils for a few hours, then boil until soft (appr 1 hour) 2) chop a red pepper, mushrooms, onion and garlic briefly in some olive or sunflower oil 3) add vegetables to the lentils, add pepper, salt, some chilli pepper, cumin powder and the (vegetarian) sausages to the lentils, add some extra water and boil for another 20 minutes. 4) serve with fresh bread.

This is an interesting direction for the future of Star Wars.. https://deadline.com/2020/05/taika-waititi-new-star-wars-movie-directing-1202925208/

Has anyone watched the TV Series yet? I really liked the old movie from 1986, while it leaves out big parts of the (awesome) book it is IMHO one of the best movies about medieval times.

Very interesting that according to the article, Gove thinks that the northern Ireland protocol is still being worked out, despite that the Withdrawal Agreement is in place. https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2020/apr/29/brussels-and-uk-at-odds-over-proposed-eu-office-in-belfast

OK, I have to admit that the lockdown starts to take a toll on me, now I even started to re-watch all Harry Potter movies. Wow, acting was really bad in the first two, but everything got a lot better from number three onwards. As someone who never read the books ( apart from some short parts) there are so many things about the story .. but probably I shouldn't take it too serious. Do kids nowadays still like the movies?

So today I got a letter from the prime minister himself, well, it is signed by him. Ironically, while it says "a vital update" on the envelope, I could not find any new information inside. Not that I expected much, but I am actually a bit surprised they went through the effort (and cost) of sending the letters. #coronavirus #lockdown #covid19

The owner of Nour Cash & Carry in Brixton Market has been served with a section 25 notice to leave the premises on 22 July 2020. https://www.change.org/p/lambeth-council-save-nour-cash-carry-brixton When first coming to the UK, Nour's owner found work in the Brixton and quickly opened the first shop which was around for 10 years before the opening of Nour. Having been welcomed into the community with open arms, it was an easy decision to remain in Brixton following the closure of that shop, and it was a unanimous family decision that Brixton would always be home, even when others deemed it unfashionable and unsafe.

Honor Blackman, known by many for her role in Goldfinger ("Pussy Galore" will probably remain the most blatantly sexist name of a movie character in history) died yesterday aged 94. She was also known for her role in "The Avengers" (no, not Marvel..) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Avengers_(TV_series)

Brockwell Park will be closed today due to #covid-19 . I assume they will do the same next weekend. https://brixtonblog.com/2020/04/council-closes-brockwell-park-on-police-advice/

Hello everyone. Just to let everyone know, we have started to (very slowly) roll out Scooploop down under. This will probably mean that there might be users from Australia joining some groups (as groups are not bound to regions. like the community news etc). We are currently experimenting with filtering groups by regional relevance, more on that at a later point. To our users from the UK: So please do not be surprised if you encounter users from far away, but hey, you might as well make new friends from the other side of the globe. To user from Australia: Welcome! Have fun. Stay safe and at home.

Ok, I knew i wouldn't be able to write daily and I might not have counted the days correctly. On the upside: my cough is almost gone and my lunges stopped hurting, too. I am not a medical expert but I guess it is a good sign? Looking forward to getting that self-test in my local off-licence soon, as it was promised last week.. Having not left the house for 10 days, I wonder how the shopping situation has developed. I am all good on the toilet paper front, but might have to venture out next weekend for some other basics. Last time I've been to the local shop there was no bread, I guess it is still the same? I still have some cake at home so feeling a bit Marie Antoinette-ish. #covid19 #coronavirus

OK, I am running out of ideas of what to photograph in the park, therefore today a recipe. Dough: 250g flour, 125ml water, 1 spoon olice oil, yeast, some salt and sugar Topping: tomatos, tomato paste, basil, mozarella, gorgonzola Mix lukewarm water with the yeast, salt and sugar, let sit for about 10 minutes. Mix the flour, oil with the yeast and knead the dough until it stops sticking to the board. Let the dough rest for about 45 minutes. Roll out the dough, add the toppings at will (done with dried basil, this is not the time for luxury) Bake the pizza for about 15-20 minutes, depending on your oven. Enjoy. #covid19 #lockdown #coronavirus

Not a very eventful day, jogging again, but this time in the morning. I should probably go earlier in the future, because the park is already packed with people at 8am, especially with dog walkers (the natural enemy of the jogger). However, I found reminders of social distancing everywhere. Happy to see they are in metric ;) #coronavirus #covid19 #lockdown

Didn't feel that different from the last ten days or so I stayed at home. On the upside, it was the first time the government send me a text message. I did not reply though. Went for a run in the park in late afternoon (yes, this is permitted), there were at least a hundred people doing all kind of things.. #coronavirus #lockdown #covid19

Sad, here their statement: "That’s a wrap! We haven’t reopened after the gov announcement on Friday evening. It’s been a long and stressful week trying to interpret the gov advice and make sure we’re doing what’s best for our customers and wider society. As most of you know, we were planning to pack up this year and head for the beautiful west coast of Scotland. Even with Boris’ 12 week turn around, it seems this will be the end of The Pigeon Hole as we know it. " https://www.instagram.com/p/B-EpdefnFK4/

SCNR. The coronavirus has now pushed back the new James Bond by six months. Somehow I feel their marketing department thought people could misunderstand the bond movie title. https://www.theguardian.com/film/2020/mar/04/james-bond-no-time-to-die-november
