A petition demanding the Welsh Government reverses its 'disastrous' 20mph speed limit has brought in more than 284,000 signatures - equal to nine per cent of the country's population.
The new law, which came into force on September 17, was introduced by the Labour run government which claims the £32million rollout of 20mph limits will save lives and cut NHS costs by £92million a year.
But furious residents in Wales have demanded the move to replace 30mph limits be reversed, saying the government's claim that it will save lives lacks evidence and it will make 'no difference' to road accidents.
