Vegetarian pigs in blankets

I have a couple of vegetarian friends coming for Christmas dinner.
The main course is sorted but I was wondering if I could include some vegetarian pigs in blankets. I can get vegetarian sausages and vegetarian bacon equivalent so I could make my own.
Have any of you tried this before and if so which brands of sausages and bacon work best? Any tips on how to prepare and cook them?
Alternatively, do any of you know of a supermarket that sells ready made vegetarian pigs in blankets?
