UKIP are back and once again peddling lies
However those who know the facts answer them
Research on pain levels in cattle and livestock on different methods of slaughter was conducted at the University of Veterinary Medicine Hannover (Hannover University) in Germany. The study, led by Professor Wilhelm Schulze and his colleague Dr. Hazim the researchers conducted experiments on livestock to determine the amount of pain they experience. During slaughter using the Islamic method they applied a process called EEG (electroencephalography), they monitored the cow's brain activity to determine if the animals felt any pain and, if so, how much.
They prepared the livestock for the tests and slaughtered them.
For the first three seconds after the slaughter, there was no change in electrical pressure, indicating that the cow felt no pain.
During the next three seconds, they observed that the livestock lost consciousness and went into a collective sleep due to the intense blood flow from the slaughter site and the resulting lack of blood flow to the brain.
After six seconds, the EEG showed that the brain had stopped functioning electrically, meaning the livestock had died and experienced no pain.
The question is:
What is the result of this experiment? We all wonder about the blood of the animal during slaughter and are eager to slaughter it, and we know why we don't think it feels pain...and struggles.
The truth is that when the Islamic method of slaughtering a cow involves cutting the trachea, windpipe, and esophagus without severing them.
At this stage, blood and oxygen to the brain are cut off, causing the cow to enter a coma and lose consciousness within seconds.
The animal's flesh survives without feeling pain, as the pituitary gland in its brain sends messages to the adrenal glands (located in each of the two glands) via the spinal cord, releasing adrenaline. This attempts to accelerate blood flow to the brain, the first organ to escape the blood supply and involuntary activities. This leads to the complete emptying of the body of blood into the pelvis, cleansing the body of the blood that, if retained, could cause diseases. Thus, the Islamic method of slaughter is faster, more merciful and less painful.
For those disagreeing and concluding to the Islamic method being inhumane are ignorant to scientific research and actual fact based research. This same research was conducted in several other institutes ranging from America, European partners in science and research and Australia and the results were concluded the same.
