Switch to Octopus renewable energy, save ££, get £50 off your first bill

Hello everyone, just a little shout to anyone looking to save a few £ on their energy bills over the coming months. £50 off your first bill if you switch to Octopus energy…

https://share.octopus.energy/taupe-may-479

We’ve been with Bulb for a while and they’re great but figured we could save £100+/year with Octopus, so we’re switching. They aren’t the cheapest, but we didn’t want to risk it with any of the newer companies (for which there’s no customer service rating), and their response time on the phone was about 3 minutes today, so not too bad, and really pleasant and helpful service.

We have a 2 bed GF flat and use approx. 5300 kwh electricity and 13300 kwh gas. Going direct, the standard fixed Octopus rate will save us about £100/year (over Bulb rate). You can get a slightly better deal by going through Money Saving Expert’s cheap energy club, and I think you can get £25 cashback via this route https://clubs.moneysavingexpert.com/cheapenergyclub, but I think the £50 off introductory offer is a better deal overall.

And…. if you use an existing customer’s referral link, you can both get £50 when you sign up, and there are no exit penalties on this contract, so you can switch again whenever you like.

I think it’s 100% renewable electricity and they offset any carbon footprint from their gas supply, more info here https://octopus.energy/blog/what-makes-us-green/

With the referral above, we get £50 too if you sign up, but if you do use our link, please let me know and we’ll donate half the referral fee to this appeal for Rob Burrow and Motor neurone disease, or any cause of your choosing.

https://www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/sinfield-7-in-7

Cheers, Guy
