At the start of last year my best friend had a stroke and the message sent to my daughter from her son sounded very bleak. I honestly didn’t think I was going to see her again.
Fortunately she fought back and within a few months was up and about.
In July, another friend was sent home from an A & E even though she had shown symptoms of a stroke. Three days later her husband found her dead in her armchair .
