9 months agoMaybe 40 😂
See, bet you all laughed at my original 60 (now 50) when you were all saying 12 .....
I’ll go with 48 too
28
40
40
or 80 if he has another sneaky pair of trainers!
@De... - what a cop-out, you'll be saying next that one shoe is a 9 and the other 10.
The answer is 43:Row 1 shows the shoe is worth 5;Row 2 shows the man is worth 5;Row 3 shows the lace..
Aha - never even noticed the different laces!
On the original post there were 243 posts when I gave up looking.. ..I wondered what the final resul..
@Ro... so basically what you are saying is You have started a thread with a question/quiz you person..
I didn't like to ask if Rosie actually knew the answer!
@Se... the quiz couldn’t have been on here . We don’t have a group called General?
At the start of this post I was questioning whether I missed the answer to the puzzle. I wondered wh..
Bless you - I'm just pleased to be the first 'nearer' right (as normally useless) - looking forward ..
Found it.....First line - 6 shoes = 30, so One shoe = 5 (30/6)Second line - Two shoes (10) plus two ..
Well done Derek
Yes. Well done Derek 👍🏻
Genius!
My sister sent this to me a few weeks ago. The person who sent it to her said the actual answer was ..
@Mi... - I'm more inclined to agree with that way but where are you getting the 43 from?
If it was cumulative vertically then row 2 total would be 50 and row 3 total would be 63,but they ar..
Here’s an easier one
@Ro... - hopefully this one is for the geriatrics?
@De... - dear Derek, still not following you (I admit here (again), started in Division 4 Maths and..
@Ro... - We are going down the same path again though, arn't we? Might sit this one out (she says).
54
First one 60,, second 51
I agree with Terry, 54
Nope
Yup 54
There should be brackets around the multiplication but I couldn’t add them on the image
75
Where are the brackets? Around which components?
I’ll go for 78 then
Brackets around weightlifter and the mask
Same answer, 54.
Know that there are brackets around certain things has totally changed my train of thought - not.
Not 54
@Ro... In that case you need to explain your workings.
Study the pictures
Your maths are fine 😊
63
OK, that means it's impossible as we have no idea what a partial dumbell is worth.
He’s holding another mask so 12 + 17 x 3 = 63.. I think anyway.
I agree about the dumbbell. I found that confusing. But each weight is worth 1.
Is it 50 then
Actually it’s 44 I think not 50.
No
53 if he’s holding a second mask 🙄🤔
After copying the image so that I can enlarge it, I can't see a partial dumbell or the weightlifter ..
I can see him on desktop holding a dumbell in his right hand with something blue round his mouth in ..
So can I and I included them in my calculation.

But that’s cheating Claire if anyone Google’s it. What’s the point as there isn’t any fun in just lo..
Come on Derek. You did the last one, which was much harder 😊
35 but it defies logic if the dumbbell handle weighs nothing!
The weightlifter is wearing a mask and holding a dumbbell with 4 weights on it
I still think answer is 44 as I said earlier if the guy is wearing one mask and 4 weights on dumbbel..
8 + 12 x 3 =BODMAS 12 x 3 = 36 + 8 = 44But Sue said 44 and was rejected
@Su... (prefer yours)
Agree with Derek. I didn't spot the difference in the number of weights on the dumbells. I haven't a..
Daft.
Yes it’s 44! Sue I’m so sorry I didn't understand your answer back then 😔
I’m going ☹️
That's why I didn't answer before, I couldn't get a different answer to Sue. Well done @Su....

Answer is 8+12x3=60 Just noticed the weights on the dumbells and the mask on the weightlifter.
