Phishing warning
Yesterday I received an email with the subject line Important message from YAHOO.
It said
Dear Yahoo user,
We notice your email has not been confirmed for the new privacy security upgrade which commences on 6th of October 2022.
Kindly upgrade your Yahoo account to avoid the account shutdown.
The senders address looked like it came from Yahoo.
The email had a link to the upgrade site, but when I looked at the underlying code the message was actually from trekkie1967@yahoo.com and the upgrade link led to a weeblysite.com web address.
This is a phishing attempt trying to get login details.
