New season's energy bill
I just had an unexpectedly nice surprise, when anxiously looking up my October energy bill. Being ultra-cautious about turning on the heating has resulted in an unheard-of credit bill: the government payment which arrived at the start of the month exceeded the cost of September's energy usage.
No doubt things will change from now on, of course.
