Interesting article about secret islands between Richmond and Chiswick on the Thames

There are apparently 8 'secret' islands on this stretch of the Thames. Most are not easily accessible unless volunteering on the land but one is open to visitors and even has a museum on! Might make for a fun family day out.
Eel Pie island is the on you can get to using a footbridge from the Ham House & gardens area. Enjoy.
