• How to Prepare for your Motorcycle Theory Test | Alpha Motorcycle

Understanding the Highway Code is essential to passing your motorcycle theory test. Many of the rules in the Highway Code are legal requirements, and if you break them you are committing a criminal offence and could be fined, given penalty points, or have your license taken away from you. <br> <br>You should also get to know traffic signs before taking your motorcycle theory test. Traffic signs play a vital role in directing, controlling and informing traffic, and so it is essential that you understand them and follow them correctly. There are three main types of traffic signs that you will want to familiarise yourself with, signs that give orders, signs that warn and signs that give information. <br> <br>Another area you will be tested on is hazard perception. The hazard perception test will be delivered on a computer, you will be presented with a series of clips that feature everyday road scenes. In each clip there will be at least one developing hazard, and you will respond by clicking a mouse once you notice the hazard. Recognising possible dangers is a skill that is necessary for any driver, so it doesn’t matter if you are conducting a motorcycle theory test, or if you will be lorry, you will still conduct the same hazard perception test.
