    Hope link works

After being repeatedly raped by two relatives, María was forced into becoming a mom to avoid jail. She was 12. Sadly, she is not the only one.

In Maria's country, Honduras, hundreds of cases of sexual assault targeting children are reported every year and rape victims are denied the most fundamental reproductive rights.

    But there is HOPE.

The first-ever female President, Xiomara Castro, was just sworn in with a mandate that could save millions of women from suffering and abuse. For instance, legalizing emergency contraception! But she is already under pressure from her own party to give up!

And here is where we come in -- Honduran politicians are not used to capturing global attention. And if we deliver a 1 million strong petition backing the President's agenda to protect women's rights, we can strengthen the fight of local women's groups and push her to act.
