For Those With Funeral Plans
It is now seven weeks since my wife passed away and I have thought long and very hard as to whether I should make this post but, in the hope, that I can save others some distress, have decided to do so.
For those with funeral plans the undertaker will collect the deceased the same day and many will wish to be present when they do, my strongest advice is don't. I sat with my wife for two hours before the collection when the staff arrived they were very respectful and considerate and asked me if I wish to leave, I stayed and was wrong.
I won't describe the procedure but would advise anyone to say their goodbyes and leave. I would not describe myself as an emotional person, in fact I have taken pride in being a realist, but I found this to be a memory that I would prefer not to have.
