Avoid travelling before 9am on weekdays in London
This unwelcome message just arrived from Transport for London:
"From today, Wednesday 18 January 2023, the temporary suspension of free travel for 60+ Oyster photocard and Older Persons’ Freedom Pass holders between 04:30 and 09:00 on weekdays, which was put in place during the pandemic, will become permanent."
That won't help anyone to recruit older people back into office-based employment, will it? Not just the unlovely prospect of commuting in rush-hour but having to pay for it again, too.
I somehow doubt that this will improve TfL's cashflow as much as they hope....
