Advice about synchronising two NAS enclosures

I wouldn't describe myself as a non-techie but I’d like to pick the brains of our computer experts:
I have two NAS enclosures, each with four hard disc drives.
The enclosures are Western Digital EX4100 boxes with Western digital red drives.
I want to try and protect my data from disasters so I could set each enclosure up to have two drives in a mirrored RAID configuration which would protect me against the failure of a drive, but that doesn’t protect me against fire, theft and so on which could wipe out a box and both copies of the data.
So I’d like to have the two enclosures set to JBOD and have one enclosure at home and the other at a different location, such as my dad’s house, with the data synchronised over the internet.
Both of us have fast internet connections, and my dad is ok with hosting the enclosure, so I’d need a way that each drive in one enclosure is automatically mirrored to the corresponding drive of the other enclosure over the internet.
I don’t know if an EX4100 can be set up to automatically mirror itself to another EX4100 or if I’d need to have a computer between them.
If need be I have a spare computer which is on my home network which could be left running 24-7 to handle the synchronising. It’s only an i5 with 4GB RAM, a 320GB hard disc and Windows 10 but I wouldn’t expect I’d need a powerful computer to do this.
I’d welcome advice on how to set this up, how to configure the NAS enclosures and what software I might need.
