I am with Sainsbury's Energy and have just had this comment by email - "From 1 October, under the government's price cap, unit rates are falling and standing charges are going up slightly - but the good news is we're not passing the standing charge increase on to our customers. This means you'll see a drop in your yearly energy costs of around £150." -

The war killed 176,000 people in Afghanistan: 46,319 civilians, 69,095 military and police and at least 52,893 opposition fighters and cost to the allied nations, mostly the US was 1-2 trillion dollars. The UK cost was 30 billion dollars. Wounded would be in a ratio of at least 3-1 For what ? We pulled out after many traumatic years of human and financial sacrifice and the Taliban walked straight back in to restore the country back to when it all started. Now the Taliban rule with brute force and execute people willy-nilly for petty anti-Islamic offences. https://www.msn.com/en-gb/news/world/women-beheaded-and-bodies-dumped-in-rivers-under-taliban-rule-in-afghanistan-report-says/ar-AA1fixwz?ocid=msedgntphdr&cvid=4396f6f3acd849c08629a9d435197dd0&ei=20 -

At the most critical time since the Cuban crisis, the USA has a President who does not know what day it is. A serious threat to global security in the face of the Ukrainian and Taiwan conflicts and the many other threats in this trouble-torn world of today. It is hard for a rational mind to comprehend this. ET bypasses all the nuke safety controls and almost starts a nuclear WW3 or is it a very serious civilisation destructive computer glitch ? https://www.msn.com/en-gb/news/world/ufos-took-control-of-russian-nukes-and-entered-launch-codes-nearly-triggering-wwiii/ar-AA1eMbz4?ocid=msedgntp&cvid=f1d69ab5d16543fdb1490d2202dda589&ei=56 -

Most telephone suppliers are transferring their supply from the traditional overhead cables to direct connection to computer routers. My Virgin supply will be changed at the end of October. With phones in my lounge, kitchen and upstairs, I visualised a massive rewiring job. But not needed, easy solution found. Purchase a set of cordless digital phones - I selected a base unit and two slaves (£64) - you can have a set with more slaves if needed. Wiring ? No longer required. The base unit plugs directly into my router via an adaptor when the time comes and the electrical supply, the slaves are placed wherever I wish, plugged into the electrical supply. So I now have the house supplied with phones in various rooms or places of my choice. The only telephone supply being to the base unit. Now, the base unit controls the slaves, any changes to the base unit settings or phone details added to the memory etc. are automatically transferred from the base unit to each slave unit. All phones automatically become identical in content. Changeover ? Go ahead, no problem, just a base unit change of location. -

Thank Heaven we live in a Draconian country where justice is paramount in protecting us from scum like this. For robbing elderly dementia patients, this vile scumbag was given a horrendous prison sentence of 30 months ! That'll stop her dirty tricks ! 🤣 https://www.msn.com/en-gb/news/uknews/despicable-mum-stole-thousands-from-dementia-patients-while-working-as-a-carer/ar-AA1eBmum?ocid=msedgntphdr&cvid=94206d59c83c419997076ec18cd431e6&ei=48 -

This hiccup occasionally happens. Solution - From desktop, press ALT+TAB (the key shown in red on my image), keep ALT pressed down. This will show all open programs on the taskbar, including the browser. Select the browser with your mouse and it will open full screen. Click the expand (top right centre icon) if not full screen. Another way to reveal the missing browser screen is to press WINKEY+D. -

A recent TV program revealed with almost certainty how Amelia Earhart died. It was conducted by an investigation team using the latest evidence. Amelia Earhart was born in 1897 and was 39 years old when she disappeared in 1937. She was a world renown female aviator and held many records, including being the first woman to fly solo across the Atlantic Ocean. In 1937 Amelia and her navigator Fred Noonan took off from Miami on a round-the world flight. The last contact with Amelia was on her route to Howland Island in the Pacific Ocean. After which she completely disappeared. The mystery of her death has existed until recently. It is concluded that Amelia and her navigator lost their way and crash landed on a small Japanese held island and were taken prisoner. They were transferred to Saipan by the Japanese and held for several years, after which they were finally executed most likely by beheading and buried in shallow graves. The web is full of information on this subject, but here is one link - https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-5117527/America-hid-Amelia-Earharts-execution-Japanese.html -

Cursor pointer changes from an arrow to up/down scroll ? Quite natural and very convenient. A slight tap on the scroll wheel will change the pointer from an arrow to up/down scroll or back again. With the up/down scroll you move the mouse at the scroll rate you want or stop scrolling by stopping the mouse. -

I would reckon Putin wet his pants at the great USA being led by a brain dead old faggot like Biden who thinks the Russian war is in Iraq !!! Apart from dropping gaffe after gaffe after gaffe, he is notorious for breaking wind amongst high profile guests. https://www.mirror.co.uk/news/us-news/joe-biden-says-vladimir-putin-30346624 -

Microsoft is ending support for Windows 10 on October 14th, 2025 and are steadily introducing Windows 11 to replace it. Programs and apps will continue to support Windows 10 for a few more years, and users will continue to receive security updates and patches from Microsoft. Users do not immediately need to download and install Windows 11, since new operating systems often run into bugs and other problems. Becoming one of the early adopters sometimes can lead to your PC experiencing problems that crop up after release. Companies need time to create applications that properly support the new OS and at this early stage many programs will not work until they are updated to Windows 11 compatibility. My verdict is to wait until at least mid-2024 before installing Windows 11, letting enough time elapse to allow all the bugs to be sorted out and program companies to align their software to be compatible with Windows 11. -

This program is a must for all computer owners. It is intended as an occasional scanner to scan your entire system ensuring detection of any infections that your existing security programs have missed. When you have installed ESET, click the shortcut on your desktop and select FULL scan, then enable "Enable ESET to detect and quarantine potentially unwanted applications", then click START. It is a very long scan taking 2-3 hours or more. My scan took 3.1/2 hours, scanned 601,504 files and found 2 minor unwanted applications. Nothing less than a miracle considering my diverse and unrestricted sites usage over 3 years. Download ESET from - https://www.eset.com/uk/home/online-scanner/ just click ONE-TIME SCAN. -

Microsoft Edge is a superb browser, far better than any other. Apart from having a great favourites bar it has a sidebar at the R/H side. I have selected all my regular sites for the sidebar - Amazon, Sainsbury's, Doctor, Scooploop etc. By clicking any one of them, the log-in or site is displayed on a new tab full screen. Very quick and very convenient. See image - -
