Friends of mine made an appointment for yesterday at Civic Centre, Bromley for 4th booster, went and it was empty. I could kick myself at not going with them and turning up without an appointment, just didn't think about it at the time. Could have been because of Mother's Day and a Sunday, I suppose but they do keep saying wait until you are contacted.

7-day a week mobile PCR testing now available to residents at Norman Park.
Unfortunately the rapid rise of Covid has necessitated a big boost in our testing capability. To that end, the Council and NHS have re-opened 7 day a week testing at Norman Park It is regrettable that the 7 day a week operations are needed but we remain committed to keeping the car park area available for testing for as long as is needed.
The operating days of the mobile coronavirus testing facility at the Norman Park car park, accessible via Hayes Lane, is being extended to include 7 day a week working from 16 December 2021. -

As Ward Councillors we have noticed a rapid rise in the number of electric cars in Bromley Town, as residents do their bit to further improve local air quality and reduce the impact of driving on the environment.
While residents with their own drives can take advantage of this emerging technology many other residents who live in flats or terraced housing cannot without running cables across pavements or being dependent on car parks with EV charging - which can often be more expensive.
Last week the Council's Environment Committee, that Cllr. Harmer Chairs, endorsed a plan to progress and trial different schemes to address this. We made the recommendation to move forward straight away with the gulley charging pilot. Under this scheme, residents can apply to have the Council dig a gulley under the pavement so that cable can be ran from their house to their car without creating a tripping hazard.
Residents will be invited to take part in the trial and if you feel this could be of interest please get in touch (will.harmer@bromley.gov.uk). There will be certain criteria to meet and there may be a cost but if you let us know we can add you to the list. -

I've heard a food court (of sorts) has opened up. It seems there are stalls selling things like burritos.

Went out for a walk this morning and noticed that there's a renal dialysis unit in Ringers Road, Bromley. I had no idea it was there.

If you live in the Borough of Bromley you can go to the walk in vaccination site in the Civic Centre, no appointment needed and free car park. You need to take your card or proof of first two jabs plus your NHS number. They also do the walk in for the under 15's jab.
Vaccine name change:- I had my booster this morning and the Pfizer vaccine is now called Comirnaty. This is to be the Pfizer vaccine trade name. -

Looking like another leak on Bromley Common just before the Crown. Water all over the road - and that was before it rained!
